A faulty ground can damage the entire charging system, brake system, reverse lights, and the standard stop tail turn lights. If the additional undersized ground isn't secure, or comes loose, all the power for it goes back to the stock ground, which is very dangerous.

My truck blew fuses when I tried to activate my left turn signal because there was too much wiring inside the 4 way to 7 way adapter. As a result, all my running lights on the truck and trailer We did not have time to get a replacement, so we went to the local auto parts store and bought a different brand that worked well. I've tried to take it apart to find the short, but all the wires are in a molded rubber that cannot be repaired. It is not a product I would recommend.

I originally purchased this kit to convert a 4 way to a 7 way for moving trailers around. Considerating I only used it to move trailers, the process should have been straightforward enough. Everything was fine, aside from one minor Packaged with the device was not a mounting bracket. I don't want to offend anyone. It could reasonably easy for me to craft up a bracket because I have some fabrication ability, but the point is that I shouldn't need My reasoning for going with a name brand such as Curt was to avoid these problems, but I have not heard anything back. I contacted Curt on Wednesday, but have yet to receive an acknowledgment or response. Since this seems like a small issue, they probably gave me a lower priority, but I think the best place to start is with customer service. far as the product is concerned, I can only give it a 1 star because it doesn't comply with technical requirements Installation is possible. My guess is that it might make velvet robes part and champagne fall from the skies, but since I cannot install it, I'll never know.

My application was perfectly suited to this. As I pulled a boat trailer, I was using a 4 pin flat plug in accordance with the towing An electric 7-pin round plug my trailer has recently come with recently came to my attention. Trailer brakes are not installed, but a 12v jack has been attached to the tongue of the trailer by the previous owner. It seemed better to replace the 7 pin with a 4 pin rather than remove the 7 pin and install a 4 pin. I intended to run a hot wire from one of the pigtails that came with this plug to the hot wire. I was able to install it in no time. Neither fuse blew. Everything worked as it should.
