Our last use of it was when it was heavy rain. A good deal of moisture remained on the cargo. If it were light rain, I don't think there would be any issues

Unfortunately, I'm not happy with the size of the The basket is designed to fit inside the Curt. Inside a Curt basket is a Curt bag. You should be able to do that very easily. Although I understand they are trying to fit it without it being too large on the sides, there is too much space on the sides to make it work. Because this bag is much smaller than the basket, my gear is not designed to fit inside. It will not fit in the basket, but it will fit in the bag. My $70 bag is now useless, and I have a bag that costs me £70. Curt, thanks for the kind words.
When I moved from Texas to California, I purchased this as well as the Curt cargo carrier. Our daughter and I, three dogs, and a couple weeks' worth of supplies traveled in the car with us, and the rest of our household goods went in a separate vehicle. There was enough space in this cargo carrier bag to fit a dog crate as well as two suitcases. A very strong vinyl was used to make the bag, and the tie made it easy to open and close As soon as I figured out how to use downs, I had no trouble using them. I would prefer if they were attached on one end, but I can wash them this way. I was able to lift the whole bag into the motel at night, but was still able to fold the empty bag into the trunk of the car. It was fully protective from all the weather. I was also able to fold the empty bag into the back of the car at night. Although the zipper is sturdy and covered to prevent gaps from the weather, I found it difficult to pull and to reach around the corners of the bag (and this is my only complaint). If you could spray WD-40 on it, that would be great The next time we use it, which I intend to do when we go camping or skiing, it will have a 40 or something on it.
Despite a trip from North Carolina to Chicago and back, the bag performed as advertised. The bag kept the contents dry even through a number of heavy downpours. My only complaint, the reason for only 4 stars, is that there is no way to "lock" the bag to its There was no way to secure the entire bag to the carrier easily with the six tie down straps and luggage lock, although the bag does fit on the carrier with the zipper closed. The bag is removed after the pro). If you include a loop where a cable lock could pass through, this would be amazing. We just needed the space for a double stroller and a couple smaller bags, so we didn't have to worry about the bag getting too heavy. Though, if you put enough things in it, you won't have to worry about it too much. I believe two people could have moved it from one car to another and been gone in no time. The bag did have some slight cracking in the bottom of the bag after we returned home, so we'll see how it holds up after more uses. I don't want to worry about that when the family stops for a meal or whatever and the car is out of sight.
It was the best decision we made. This saved us quite a bit of money, but it also meant fitting a lot Using a cargo carrier, we strapped this on it and put it on the carrier. The bag was large enough to hold a cooler, a pack n' play, two suitcases, beach toys, and some other things for the family of six. There was a 10-hour drive each way, two times heavy rain, and the weather did not affect the car. I did not have to worry about getting wet at all, and it was so much easier than using It would be highly recommended!.
There is no reason not to install this if you have a CURT rack (or one of similar dimensions). Because I can fill the bag to the brim with as much as I want, loading/unloading will be less of a hassle. These connectors allow the bag to be secured to the rack, which is really cool. As you can see from the pictures, I used a cargo net to complement it, but that is not necessary as the bag and its attachments work perfectly on their own.
It was in good working order and arrived as promised. The bag has great construction with welded seams that are heavy duty. It's not the bag we would like but it was recommended for the carrier that we have by Curt. We bought it for a upcoming trip so we could pack large suitcases, but then we realized that the bags won't fit since the wheels are on the suitcases. Although we will have to see if we can use it for other trips, we may still be able to. I would rate the bag as good and heavy duty overall. This score is principally based on the size of the image.
We were nearly held up the whole time by a crosswind of 40 miles an hour, with heavy, heavy rain, hail, and This was our 2,000 mile road trip (there and back). The journey takes us from Denver to Oregon and back again. There was a lot of wind blowing in Wyoming and it was always stormy (had I just taken I70, I would have been fine), plus i drove 90 mph the whole time and there was not a drop of liquid inside. Since it will get covered in grime on wet roads, all I have to do is hose it off. Think about the back of your car after a trip that's how this thing will look, but all the surfaces were clean.
In the beginning, I was worried about how this bag would behave when it was full, because it did not have the shape I wanted. I also was worried that water may seep into the zipper when it is full. Throughout my experience with this bag, I never had any problems with water. It rained several days, allowed for snow on a few, and held out on the few days when it was 110 degrees. As I noted earlier, my biggest concern was the straps that it came with . . . I did not use them, and in their place I used ratchet straps to hold it down. This is a great bag, I loved that the top folded back nicely, and I also liked how easy it was.
