My laptop came in a matte black finish
I'm asking because the first picture is different from the rest, if you look at the step, there is 990001 and there is 99002 (2 in a drop). There is an RBP on the screen. A bigger step has also been taken. As well as being hollow, the hooks are made of metal. Has this 990001R been ordered by you? Interestingly, the very last photo is a little different, and there are steps in it as well. This is a very confusing situation. The only one that looks good among many different variations

According to my preferences, the hook is not too large or small and does not stick out too far as some other products do. A unique and useful feature of the steps is their placement on the side. To make it more sturdy and to prevent rattling in the receiver, I highly recommend purchasing a hitch tightener to go with it. In addition, spray the hook, the tightener and the hitch pin with silicone and let it dry over night to prevent rust.
These are just for looks and are not intended to be used in any way. On the first try, I twisted the hook by 30 degrees as I pulled the car out of the snowbank. To bend it back, I had to do it by hand, so it now only has a step on it. The price of a step was quite high. It's been a while since I bought a product from RBP, but I am disappointed by this one.
Having good looks is a 4 star rating. I'm interested in seeing how it holds up in A hook such as this would never be used to pull anything. The piece is not heavy duty it just serves as an.

Since it has joints, it is susceptible to rust, as some others have pointed out. The only thing you need to do is spray some silicon on it to keep it clear. As far as protection goes, it should be protected by oil. I use WD40 Silicon spray and that works well.
All it took was a bit of felt for the cushion, and then it was done! The construction of this thing is awesome, and it looks rugged too. I am very pleased with the value for the money! Although I can't tell you exactly how it pulls, overall it seems to be robust for normal daily usage.
The roof rack is amazing, it's a great addition to the truck. Mine has been through a lot of rain and I have not seen any signs of rust in it.
