A good product. I have not experienced any problems during the past four years. Amp Research can assist you with your make and model by phone or in person. The fit is perfect and tight. This is especially helpful for my 4WD '13 Denali whose ground clearance is low
The step works very well, I use it all the time and it is money well spent. I own a 2013 Denali HD with a factory bumper that matches my 2500 HD, and the step is the same as that on a 2500 HD. Alternatively, you can call Amazon and ask them to confirm with Amp who is the manufacturer that 2011 is the same, or you can just call Amp and they will give you the part number so you can order it from Amazon.

There's a lot to like about the design, but it's terribly executed. During installation, I used a large adjustable spanner to move sheet metal out of the way while using a 21mm socket to remove the bumper bolts from the truck. I needed to remove the upper bolt with the help of a 21mm socket to release the lower bolt. The next step was attaching the foot pad, and when I was about to finish the installation, I discovered that the 1/4"- thickness did not fit the foot pad The bolts supplied had hex head sizes of 20 x 1 inch and could not be used with a three sixteenths inch There was a smaller diameter inside the cavity and we were unable to fit either an English or metric hex wrench in it. It was the coating on the bolts applied by their bolt supplier that caused the problem. AMP Research has a contact form on their website, but I had not been contacted after half a day after I filled it out. I then went to my nearest Ace hardware store and bought three My guess is they are using 8mm bolts and what are supposed to be 3/16" bolts on a part - that is, why don't they just use all English bolts or all metric screws There are a lot of details in the market, and the people at amp research do not seem to be aware of it. Definitely need to make sure their fasteners are up to standard.
At the time I bought the item, I thought it was a bit pricey. I immediately changed my mind once I had the system installed. There was a lot of thought that went into making and designing this product. The best I can do is 260 pounds if I hold my butt up. is easier to retrieve items or get into the back of the truck with the help of this.
Most pickup truck manufacturers have made access to the cargo area more difficult than it used to be. You get a step side option for easy entry to the passenger compartment but none for the cargo compartment. The product is all they say it is, heavy duty, easy to install, and only takes 15 minutes to install. If you have the right tools and follow the instructions, it should take you no more than 30 minutes. With the only change I needed to make, I used a swivel socket for the Torque wrench on the bolt on my upper bumper mount. Perfect installation, easy to use, There should be an OEM option for this AMP bedstep on every new truck on the market today. GMC Sierra 2500HD ext. 2012, GMC Sierra 2500HD ext. An airport taxi. Engineers at AMP Research do great work.
I found this step to be very easy to do and works well. This appears to be a solid and well-constructed product. Only a month has passed since it was installed, but it seems to be working.
It was difficult for me to install the system because the bolts on my truck I found the fit to be tight but this was designed specifically for The program works well.
I really like this product. It's easy to install.
A U-shaped attachment was necessary to secure the unit to the frame and a long extension of 8" was needed to reach the unit. Due to a piece of sheet metal brace on the end, it has a joint on its end where the top bolt tightens. I can certainly get into the bed of my long bed, crew cab, 2011 GMC Denali 3500 HD 4x4 Dually with ease.
Definitely a step worth taking. I'm so glad it's easier now to get in and out of the truck bed. I usually use it so I can reach something in the bed when I just need a few more inches of reach.
