In addition, Simple tow mirrors to get you by every day. It was easy to install without any issues. The design was all done by hand. I wanted a simple truck for my needs. Wishing you all the best.
For me, the installation of these worked a bit wonky on my Early 90's Chevy but they have great functionality if you only value function, just look elsewhere (yes they shake a bit while driving and in high speeds they fold in on you, 75 and below they don't).
A 1996 GMC 2500 4x4 with an Alaskan Camper recently came into my possession. Take a look at the comparison of mirror photos. This is an original fixed mirror with tripod mount that is stiff and difficult to adjust. The second two mirrors are the new ones which are swivel mounts that can be adjusted to allow them to be folded in, and they can even telescope out even more In addition, the bottom of the mirror has a wide angle spot mirror. Despite the camper being on top of them and my boat towing, they stay steady and allow me to see clearly. Since I can see the boat trailer tires easily through the spot mirror, I am able to see the tires Easily positioned and maintain their position, they are simple to adjust. The package was well packaged and they arrived on time.
Despite changing out the long stainless steel studs that came with it for some stainless steel ones, the mirror was installed without a hitch. On the studs going into the mirror, I applied locktite as well. In less than an hour, this was mounted. One downside is that after washing the mirrors with windex and towels after 2 months, one of the main parts of the glass didn't seem to hold up as well as before. The glue no longer seems to hold as well as it used to. I love them both despite the fact that they vibrate at a dead stop. The only way to know if they will last is to wait and see.
I took a chance and bought them, and I am really glad that Despite the fact that they fit my truck perfectly, both of them experienced some vibrations at speed down the interstate. To finish off, I went back to the shop and tightened them up a little more, and, voilà! In neither mirror is there any vibration. Therefore, if you buy these mirrors, I would suggest you to do more than tighten the nuts on the studs, at the least. You can leave the panels and foam fillers in until you take the mirrors out for a test drive and make sure they work well. Moreover, the mirrors are easy to adjust, and I no longer have to tilt my head to change lanes or to back up. I'll throw in my two cents.
It came in a fancy plastic box For shipping, I used a box that was well packaged and protected. Hardware that came with them made it easy for them to be attached. The bottoms of these shoes are not sagging or angled upwards at an odd angle like those on So far there have been no problems shifting or glass falling out of them. I've had them a few months now. The perfect width for a 3500 dually truck, even in the narrowest of highways An extended version of the.
I really like the split mirror configuration to allow two points of focus to be used. It also works well to tow my 8' wide camper trailer with its 4" extension. Four stars for mirror stability. Due to the extra weight and distance from the mount (in comparison to the stock mirrors), there is a very slight jiggle at normal driving speeds. The fact that I can't read a vehicle license plate behind me isn't too bad I can read mine. There's just no way to be as rock solid as those little chrome OEM mirrors. Is this too much to ask? I think so. I just thought I'd mention that.
The customer service is excellent and the company stands behind the product. I had an issue with the driver's side mirror 6 but was quickly resolved. It has been eight months since we installed it. My email to them led to them sending a new set of mirrors to replace the drivers side side mirror once they reviewed my photos and emails.
