The product came packaged very nicely, and is a good solid product. I did not realize that I had to remove the door panel before installing, so I thought it would be quicker to do it. The mirrors were very easy to take out. You simply removed two bolts and two wire plugs to reveal the bolts for the mirrors. The vehicle I own is a 2000 Ford This is a great fit. There must be some folks on here who don't work on cars, since they claim it doesn't fit well. To get it in the right place, I had to fiddle with it just a bit. In the mirror fixing holes, the holes are larger (as they are in the factory), so the mirror can be used for better fitting. It came with the new foam seal that presses against the door, so those saying that it doesn't sit flush with the door are incorrect. It's better to tighten it (in what I found to work best for me) in a cross tighten pattern similar to lug nuts on tires. Once it was flush with the door, I stopped tightening it. As an overall quality, I would find something to complain about if I had to pick something. There was just a tiny bit of room at one of the mirrors where it folds The 16th place is followed by the bottom place. I couldn't care less about the product to anyone else, but it is an excellent product to me.
Having had the 2001 and my wife's 2001, which we use to push a six horse trailer, we are very pleased with them. As a result, this increase in visibility while trailering was a huge improvement over the factory My friends and people who have inquired about these have been highly recommended to me. The look has been updated, the functionality is vastly improved and it has proven so far to be In addition to walls and trees, I have smacked them with my fists and they have helped themselves Additionally, I would like to point out that the glass is relatively resistant to normal scratching. There is yet another benefit. encountered was during installation and that is that they won't sit when you get to the installation part. If you want to do something more extensive, you just need some flat nosed nibblers or scribe very very carefully through the plastic plus. The location of the contact point is at the center of the mating surface Depending on where it is, you may have to feel for it since mine was hid behind Simply remove it and you will have two surfaces that perfectly fit together. The nuts need only be tightened and you are good to go. It is my hope that this will be helpful to.
The quality of the product is excellent. This fits my 2000 excursion perfectly. It feels very good, almost OEM in quality. Vibrations are not permitted on highways or in city traffic. It is compatible with the wiring harness included. I was able to use an aftermarket harness with heater wiring to replace the original. To wire the turn signals, I still have to do it myself. The content has been edited for one month. A slight vibration can be felt on the My star rating was not enough to drop one star. The last edit was one year ago. There has been an increase in vibration in both mirrors and it is more noticeable while I had a few bad mirrors on vehicles in the past, but nothing as bad as these. Vibrations are minimal to non-existent when driving in the city. The vibrations lead to a drop in star rating from 5 to 4 stars, but I am still pleased with my purchase.
They were well packaged and arrived in good condition. My only complaint is that they are VERY tough to put on by one person. My lack of knowledge about the plug on the end of the mirror also makes me not sure what kind of cable it is. But, there were two cables that could be plugged in, and then another round connector at It does not appear to be the same switch I have, so I'm a little stumped at this point. This product has a description that states "with an adaptor to fit 99-" There is no information available for the Ford F250, F350, or F450 trucks. No, that doesn't work. Although I didn't have time to troubleshoot how the resulting error should look, I am doing so now. In my previous post, I posted a picture of the mirrors in their boxes. To protect them, they had a fitted styrofoam. So that they can't get scratched, the mirrors were covered with plastic. In addition, you will see plastic caps covering the studs. There is a good gasket included with the car that is much thicker and The compression of this material is difficult, so I share the idea that it needs to be tightened over time. You'll be able to accomplish a lot more if someone helps. This person will be able to align it during tightening as the person inside does the same. It looks like they will attach to the mirror switch rather well, and I hope I can do so. The following changes were made on May 21, 2020 If they could publish the pin-numbers instead, I would greatly appreciate it I have worked out schematics for This is a picture of the top, turn signal and running lights, the bottom, running lights, and the yellow light is what I believe is for Right and Left Mirror Control, while the red and blue light represents up and down as well as left and right controls. If you are unsure, check with your employer. You cannot buy all the pinouts on the adapters you can buy.
The overall quality of the product is fine, and it functions as it should, but the mounting hardware had a lot of problems. The threaded posts of three out of eight posts broke free of the housing before the nuts had been fully As a result of their inability to be tightened at the top, the mirrors are positioned at an angle. It also means that the nuts/mirror can't be removed as it is meant to be and I am afraid that if it needs to be taken off, the entire mirror will need to be destroyed. The remaining 3/4 bolts seem adequate for supporting the mirror, but the durability of the rest of the mounting is what is concerning and why 3 stars were taken away from the review.
This mirror was needed to replace the one that was damaged on my 2002 F250. Installing the top cap is a little tricky, but you just have to take your time. Test fit everything and keep in mind that there is some filing necessary. After viewing YouTube videos and adjusting the mounting locations with a dremel tool, I installed the door. There were no wiring problems for the electrical connections. I had to wait months for lights and heat to return to my home. As I have a love affair with Better than the factory mirrors that come with towing vehicles! Putting on the lights and turning on the The adapters that came with the mirrors need to be kept as I had to carefully remove the pins from the gray rectangular connectors (push the spline out first). I ran wires through the door boots to the cab both sides to meet under the drivers' Connected to the wire coming from the headlight switch are running/parking lights. I connected the turn signals to the wires in the bundle under the steering wheel and the heat to a relay switch that I bought on Amazon, along with a timer that was made specifically In order to connect them, the relay was wired to a switched 12 volt supply
And the wires from the adapters were connected to A factory connector should be used. In addition, the door was tied with a ground. My first attempt at wiring it up was a bit cumbersome, but once it was all hooked up and operational I was quite pleased with the results.
