Questions & Answers

How will these mirrors work with a 2016 F150 Platinum with a led turn, puddle, spot, and side camera system?

A spot camera and side cameras do not come with my 2016 northwest edition. My understanding of this is limited. Though they work great, they are a bit bulky. Having a bumper pull trailer of 32 feet is my method of towing.

Will these mirrors provide full vision from both sides of a 96" wide camping ?

The ropes are used to pull a pontoon boat measuring 22 feet long and 102 inches wide and they work

When I clip these mirrors on, do they scratch the paint on my factory mirrors?

As far as we are concerned, there has been no scratching. They look very factory made and match up well when installed. They are quickly installed, don't cause scratches, and are quick to install.

What is the fitment of these on a 2017 F ?

Those work well on my 2016 F150, and they are the same on the 2017.

Selected User Reviews For Fit System 81850 Snap and Zap Tow Mirror Pair (2015 and Up F150)

They were a perfect fit for my 2017 F-150 The XLT 150
5/5

They were a perfect fit for my 2017 F-150 Then you won't leave any scratches or marks on the 150 XLT. While driving, the seats stay in place and do not rattle. This product looks like it's been installed from the factory. The layout of the window for the lights is excellent and there is no loss of functionality when it is It provides great visibility with the installation of a 28 foot travel trailer. Traveling is not hampered by the mirror's adjustable tilt and does not shift.

I love the way it fits and how it looks
5/5

I love the fit and the look of the shirt. It took about one minute to mount them to my 2016 Ford F150. Almost like they are factory-installed, they pop right on and look great.

It would be ideal if the mirrors worked like a charm, but they are very fragile! Mirrors that are awesome
3/5

I have purchased these for my 2015 Ford F150 XLT Texas Edition they snap right on and easily come off, and they are a great product. The large windows on my 32 foot allow me to see traffic at the rear of the truck. Taking a look at the Cruiser RV from the driver's side. Not quite as good as the view from the passenger mirror but still a vast improvement over the stock mirror in my truck. It can also be helpful when backing up. Driving with them is manageable, but they vibrate while driving. In the end, I'm glad I can see behind me. It is lightweight and easy to use, with only one major issue the mirror glass is very fragile. I placed the mirrors in a cloth pouch provided by the hotel and kept them in the hold of my RV to be kept handy Getting them in the hold was a bit of a challenge, but it was not hard to get them in with the other things I had in there before Then it was time to leave, so I pulled them out and pulled out the mirrors from the pouch, only to discover that one of them was cracked, I was shocked at how easily that could happen. In order to acquire another pair of trailers here on Amazon I will have to buy them from eTrailer since I'll be traveling again before they become available. The only thing I can say at this time is that I am extremely disappointed in their fragility and will pack them with a foam rubber pad on top of the glass before storing them. Having given a score of 4, I would have given 5 The mirror glass is so fragile that it gets 3-stars due to the vibration, but it gets 5-stars because of the vibration The stars are. My experience with the mirrors is still better than other mirrors on the market because of how easy the mirrors are to install and remove. DO IT WITH CAUTION! If you do not handle them with extreme care when storing, they will break!.

In this mirror, there are no objects to be seen
3/5

I am happy to share the news with you. The mirrors are easy to install and are a perfect match with the existing It is not rattled or vibrated in the car while driving, which can sometimes blur the view. There is an issue that I have with these mirrors, mainly because the passenger side mirror is not designed to allow for the focal length of the passenger side mirror. As a result, the view is greatly reduced. Because the distance in the mirror causes a zoom effect and reduces the angle of view, objects in the mirror cannot be seen. As for backing my 34-foot camper, I am able to see the side and are fine for backing, but the mirrors can be difficult for passing and judging the distance at the rear when I can only see about 3' to the side and only 6' up at the rear. The complexity of this design flaw is the fact that each mirror is designed differently for occupants on the passenger side and the driver side. It should not be an issue in production to change the passenger side mirror to accommodate this distance. The issue appears to be understood by all manufacturers of automobile mirrors, which is why you see the "Objects in this mirror seem closer than they actually are. " notice. You would think that your designers would understand this if your company is going to manufacture mirrors for automobiles. My rating would have been two stars if it were not for the fit.

Having these on hand can save your life
5/5

In my 2018 F150, I have been in need of some towing mirrors for quite a while. Ford for some reason didn't allow the mirrors on the new trucks to be extended. Using the stock mirrors, I could see down the sides barely, but not well. It seems like these are good so I thought I'd try them. It is first pleasing to note that they are made from the same textures and materials as stock mirrors. The ones I saw looked like premium items, not cheap add-ons. The second advantage is that they can be quickly and easily put on and taken A whole second mirror snaps over the existing mirror, adding an additional mirror outboard of the existing one. With just one push of the tab, they easily come Despite having lenses on the sides so the turn signal on the mirror still functions, and a hole at the bottom for the puddle light, the turn signal I can now easily see down the side of the trailer because the mirror on the side is far enough away. Another perk of the kits is they come with a nice bag to store them in. That way, they won't get scratched and it's easy to store them.

The tires fit my 2020 Ford F150 perfectly, and they were well worth the money I spent on them
5/5

I purchased a used travel trailer and the mirrors on my 2020 Ford F150 were no longer long enough to support the trailer. thought about replacing the existing mirrors with similar mirrors that also had extended arms and the majority of the options I found involved replacing the existing mirrors. I saw these and was skeptical that they would just snap onto the vehicle and had to deal with changing them out each time. I did not have to take the trouble of changing them out each time if I did this. It is a risk, but I read the reviews and saw the pictures and we decided to go for it. must admit that I was A vinyl drawstring bag also comes with the camera. When it isn't in use, it is stored in a box. A single snap was all it took to get them on. The process of putting both on only took about two minutes. It would have taken less than a minute, but one has to set them at the proper angle and then snap them. Feeling secure was very important to them. Liked the way the mirrors looked originally. On the Ford F150, at least, the manufacturer took the time to match the black color and texture of the base of the mirror. We drove 4000 miles round trip to Tennessee the first time we used them, and there was no problem. It stayed tight throughout the journey and was adjusted accordingly. All you had to do was press down on the bottom clip and off they went. Other user reviews have mentioned how the view from the passenger side mirror is. This is not optimal because you cannot see behind your tow vehicle as you can when viewing from the driver side but can see clearly if you need to make a lane change from the right. Upon taking them off and storing them, the mirror was broken when they put them back on once again. In order to protect them, I put them back in the box they came in and placed them in the bag they provided. On the whole, I was very pleased with the performance, use, appearance, and value of the product.
