It will happen because it is universal.
This will fit as long as your trailer is on a ball, regardless of its size.
I'm not sure what size the Austrian hookup is, but it didn't fit my 27-foot travel trailer, so I put it on my boat trailer instead.
I attempted to have this rejected because it did not fit my master lock disc locks. It couldn't be rekeyed, and the cylinder couldn't be removed, according to a professional locksmith. One pin was inserted into one side of the cylinder, preventing it from being punched out and rekeyed. My Amazon purchase was a complete waste of money.

This was purchased, installed on my trailer, and then the key was lost. When I had to hook it up to my Jeep for an early morning trip the next morning, I was a little stressed. Then I watched a video on YouTube about a man who could pick this up in a matter of seconds. It didn't seem to be as difficult as I had expected. It took me 5 minutes to make a small bent piece of wire, but it fell apart in seconds. I called MasterLock to complain, and they tried to sell me on all the advanced security features. br>br>I called MasterLock to complain, and they tried to sell me on all the advanced security features. br>br>I called MasterLock to complain, and they tried to sell me on all the advanced security features. br>br>I called MasterLock to complain, and they tried to sell me on all the advanced security features. Pure deception in advertising - None of their bluster stopped me from picking this lock with a paper clip in the dark in seconds, despite the fact that I'd never picked a lock before.
There are two trailers in my possession. One was secured by a Master lock coupler, while the other was secured by the yellow one with the silver bar that runs across the top. br>br>A thief appears and attempts to steal my trailers. They didn't try to break into my Master lock trailer, but they did try to break into the other one. Fortunately, neither trailer was stolen, but the other lock had become so mangled that I had to cut it off because the keys were no longer functional. With the help of a grinder, I was able to cut it off in seconds. br>br>The moral of the story is that while the other coupler lock did its job, it died in the process, whereas the thieves should have known better than to mess with the Master lock. br>In order to replace the useless yellow thing, I ordered another Master lock.
I figured it would be appropriate given the name MasterLock. Was I ever wrong, what a piece of garbage. I'd had it on my trailer for a few days, maybe a week, and when I went to remove the MasterLock because I needed to use it, the stupid key wouldn't turn. What the hell is going on here? I believe that moisture entered the mechanism and froze it. Screw you, MasterLock; I've had no problems with MasterLocks in my entire life. Prior to this, I had never used a MasterLock trailer lock. It's a waste of time. Don't throw your money away on this scumbag. Maybe MasterLock makes other trailer locks that work, but this one did not, at least not for me. POS. I unlocked it by inserting the key and holding a lighter beneath it until the stupid key turned. This process didn't work at first until it "unfroze" the lock a little. So I took out a saw and began sawing; I got about halfway through before trying the lock again; it unlocked! It didn't matter because I threw that hunk of garbage in the trash, where it belonged; sure, I squandered $24 in the process. 37, oh well, shame on me and shame on your MasterLock, there's a real work of art there, nice work.
It came in handy when I needed to secure my utility trailer. I tried to open it today with the key, but it wouldn't turn. I tried penetrating oil, but it didn't work. I had to cut and destroy the lock with my grinder. Master Lock was a huge letdown.
NOT MADE OF STEEL. SMASHED IN NO TIME. I borrowed a master lock similar to this from a friend and fell in love with it so much that I decided to buy one. That was my initial impression. I didn't realize THIS LOCK WAS NOT MADE OF STEEL! It is extremely light and inexpensive. This thing seems like it could be shattered with a single sledge hammer smack. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING A BATTERY-OPERATED CUTTING WHEEL TO CUT THROUGH THIS.
In the last two years, I've had these MASTER LOCKS for three years, but in red. I put them on my trailers and they look great. Worked perfectly. For a smaller, lighter trailer, I ordered this in black. br>Black indicates cast aluminum, while red indicates steel, which is more expensive and heavier. br>Quality and fit are the same as before. br> So, now that it's on a smaller trailer, a Tumble bug is a type of insect that crawls around on the ground. That's something only a horseman or a cattle rancher would know. Everything appears to be in working order. As a result, black is for small trailers and red is for larger trailers. I'm content with myself.
This item has not been exposed to the elements. There is no way to turn the key. I laughed when I read the review of an angle grinder that cuts metal (because that's exactly what that tool does!). ) However, the reviews in which people break their keys are an accurate representation of this product; I haven't broken a key yet. But I've spent the better part of 30 minutes jiggling and trying everything I can think of to get this thing to lock or unlock. If I had to do it all over again, I'd skip this garage.
So far, so good, but I haven't had this lock challenged in a robbery attempt. According to other reviews, I believe this lock, like almost any other lock, can be defeated. This lock should be viewed as an add-on to your overall security. Expect little from these unless you're willing to pay $200 for a hitch lock. This is used as "part" of a larger solution, as previously stated. Unless you're a professional, this is a good lock to use to keep an opportunistic thief away from your trailer. This should not be your primary security, especially if you are storing your trailer. Still, it's a well-made product that I would recommend to anyone looking for a low-cost option. security system on a high level.
