At the local locksmith, I had duplicates made. Sorry, but I'm not sure what the blanks are supposed to be.
I had to cut mine off after less than six months because this pin didn't work with the Curt.
These keys aren't like house keys in that you might be able to find other keys from the same manufacturer that fit. If you can't find any friends with similar keys to lend you theirs, you might have to borrow, rent, or buy an electric portable grinder, which is the only other option I can think of. Always keep the second key in a different location in the future. I've been there and done it.

This Curt lock operates smoothly and has a solid feel to it. The end cap is well-fitting and should not come loose during normal use. This purchase has surpassed my expectations. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> 1/9/15br>br>We've been using this lock for over a year, mostly to protect our decorative hitch cover, but also whenever we put the receiver in the hitch. This lock is still reliable, rust-free, and easy to use. Because we use a dog step in the hitch or carry our bikes around, I use it to remove the cover on a regular basis. The rubberized cap has done a fantastic job of protecting your head. We live in Southeast Georgia, so we don't have the harsh winters that those in northern climes do, but for our needs, this has been and continues to be an excellent purchase.
For the past two years, I've had plenty of use for this locking pin. However, when I went to unlock it for the first time in the third year, the lock was completely frozen, preventing me from turning the key and extracting the pin from the hitch receiver tube. Finally, out of desperation, I tried to turn the key with pliers, which resulted in the key head breaking off. Fortunately, I was able to turn the key slot enough to remove the pin by pounding the edge with a screwdriver and hammer. Inside the lock hole, where the pin goes, you could see white corrosion. The lock was always capped and never left outside in the elements.
The paint had come off the lock and the chrome pin was rusty, but no big deal, I'll order a new one. I had bought this same lock about 13 years ago and it was a sturdy product; the paint had come off the lock and the chrome pin was rusty, but no big deal, I'll order a new one. The first arrived in two pieces, with the keys falling through Amazon's excellent packaging. It had to be returned, which was a waste of time. The next one arrived, with the same contents packaged in two parts, but Amazon did a better job of taping the box so that the keys remained inside. I'd had the lock for three months and had just gone out to remove the hitch when the entire key lock assembly fell apart in my hand; I'm just thankful it didn't fall apart while towing my new boat. I will not be purchasing this piece of garbage in the future.
After only two uses, the device became seized. I gave it five stars when I first wrote it. And it was originally a five-star rating. In June of 2016, I bought this lock and used it to secure a hitch carrier for two short trips. After that, I put it away- storage that is clean and dry- for approximately nine months It was solidly jammed when I attempted to unlock it for use. Graphite didn't work, but WD40 (death to locks, but I had some on the hitch rack) did. After using the WD40, I wouldn't trust this thing, and I wouldn't trust another one of these either. I suppose I was fortunate that it only postponed my vacation and did not leave me with stranded livestock or a trailer permanently attached to my vehicle.
I tried this product for less than a year and it was a complete failure. The lock would not open when I needed it the most, no matter what I tried, including spraying it with lubricant. Nothing was of any assistance. I had no choice but to get my grinder and cut it off. What a pain in the neck. br>This is a product that I do not recommend.
It has pins that break away to match the key, just like any other lock that can be made to work with your original key. br>br>It works fine, now I just have another key to carry.
I had no problems locking or unlocking the door. Everything was excellent. For our travel trailer, I used this with a 3" receiver and a 2" reducer sleeve. We drove across the country and covered just over 10,000 miles. This unit has never seen any towing before. After that, the pin was bent so badly that I had to tap it out with a hammer. I discovered that the receiver's holes had wallowed out after I removed it. It did its job and kept the camper behind us, so I gave it two stars. Also, it's unclear whether the pin is to blame or whether the reducer sleeves were the issue. In any case, the pin is smoked, and my class V receiver is suffering the consequences. I'm not a fan.
Hitch pin locks are a type of hitch pin lock that is used to secure It's a good lock. I like how it has a tight-fitting plastic cover over the key end and that you only need the key to unlock it, not to lock it in place. We've got the spin on it. On-style locks are also available, but they require two hands to operate and the key must be present when turning it on or off. In addition, the locking pin is significantly larger (stronger?). ) on this lock as opposed to the spin-lock on style. I'm not sure how they came to the conclusion that it can withstand 18000 pounds, but I'm sure it's more than I'll ever test. - Ideal for a pricey drawbar or bike rack, among other things. anything that you don't want to "walk away" from.
