Not the seller's fault. I bought this based on the Q&A section, and it 1000% DOES NOT FIT ON THULE TRAILWAY Bike Carrier. Although the seller is not to blame, the Q&A section is misleading. It might fit on other Thule carriers, but if you need it for the trailway, don't buy it. This item has a 13mm 1 thread pitch. Thule has a diameter of 12 millimeters and a thickness of one mill.
Fits perfectly in my Thule 4-wheeler. The bike rack fits perfectly into my 2" hitch receiver. When the bolt or rack is tightened down, there is no wobble or play at all. The locking mechanism appears to be in good working order. The bolt itself protrudes a little more than I'd like, but it accomplishes its purpose. At $40, it's a little pricey, but there aren't any other locking hitch pins with the correct fitment on the market.
My Thule 9029 is a perfect fit. When compared to the Thule bolt, this is a better deal, but it's still too expensive; if you want added security, skip the Thule and get this bolt instead.
The pin's threads are screwed into the. To secure my Thule Vertex 9028 2-, I purchased this lockable hitch pin. It's a bike rack that works well. The pin's threads screw into the male part of the rack, which helps to reduce wobble.
So far, everything has gone well. With a Thule Parkway and a 4Runner 2inch receiver, it was put to the test. A bolt with a 19mm diameter and a lock washer. It threads and tightens nicely. All side-to-side rack sway is eliminated. Slight up and down rack sway, which isn't as noticeable when the bike is loaded. The keyed side is lovely, as is the keyhole slide cover. The positive snap of the lock is also one of my favorite features. When you turn the key, it pops off, and when you put it back on, it snaps into place. The lock appears to be well constructed, but only time will tell if it will stand the test of time.
It was extremely difficult to keep this dangling thing in place. It has to be retightened to the hitch on a regular basis. Then we went car camping with our bike rack, which broke in half halfway through our trip! We were fortunate to have cam straps to keep our bike rack attached to the car; otherwise, we would have been completely stranded! Do not squander your time or money. Simply invest in a Thule lock.
So far, there haven't been any problems or noise. If that changes, I'll let you know. br>br>Because it's quite long, locking it took some time. My equinox's rear bumper is narrow around the hitch, but it's flexible enough to secure it.
It must be kept locked. Exactly what I needed for my Thule 4-wheeler. rack for bicycles The Thule one was simply overpriced for no apparent reason. I don't have to worry about my bike rack being stolen anymore because the threads on this fit perfectly.
