This doesn't seem to be the case! Beware! A 3/4" or 1" threaded shank can be used with standard tow hitches

This ball's threaded shank is 5/8" in diameter. A 1" hole is present in my hitch. I'm not interested in 3/8" of slop, so I'm stuck with this useless item.
