Everything does not need to be sparked. Taking the cables and wrapping them around the supports, and then wrapping it around the base plate, was easy. Installation is quick and easy.
Having a 2013 Sonic with a 1 is a dream come true for me. A variety of automatics are available for Windows 8. Using the Blue Ox baseplate and towbar, I've towed it about 3,000 miles so far. I am very satisfied with it. There is a speed limit of 65 mph for you. There are instructions regarding towing this vehicle in the owner's manual.
As far as we know, BX1703 fits the 2014 Sonic, according to the blue ox website. My 2013 Sonic works well with this baseplate.
If you go to the Blue Ox website, you can download the installation instructions and a manual.

My car was a 2014 Chevrolet Sonic Turbo for which I installed this kit. There is no way I can follow the instructions despite the awesome product I dunno. As soon as I got to step #10, which shows how to remove the shroud, the procedure said it was intended You are going to be surprised - The piece does not belong to an RS model, but it is part of a turbo model I have. It is not clear what the instructions are. Until I had to cut and remove 2 sections of the bumper metal from my car, everything was going smoothly. In combination with the black and white picture, the description was not very clear, so I had to use Google to find the instructions. To make it easier for me to see what I was cutting, I prepared it in pdf format. . . . (The Blue Ox website offered no help with "file not found" and you do not want to just let your new car go to waste)
Time Those nuts are fitted with a wire of 12" diameter to make it easier to feed them into the metal car frame assembly, since you can't get your The process of installing just 6 bolts took me an hour, even with the wire rods to assist in feeding the nuts through the front of the frame (the instructions don't mention this). As soon as I got them all installed, I was up to 9 A wire rod sticks out of the front of my frame for about 10 inches. The next question is what happens next? You won't find instructions here. As a result of using the "wiggle effect", I managed to weaken the metal and it finally This is such a hassle. In step #14 you finish up with the three bolts and then proceed to the safety cable. What are you talking about? Could the two remaining bolts on the base plate please be removed? There is nothing. I don't know. I didn't see anything about it. Nothing to worry about. The two extra holes must be drilled and installed since I am intelligent enough to know that. It shows the installation of the safety cable in step #15 as well as the installation of the lower fascia support, which is already in the picture, but we have not had to Is there anything else I should have mentioned? I think the picture was jumping ahead to Step #17 since then it says to install everything you took off. As a result, I left the bumper grill off in the picture I uploaded since I have not yet cut the holes in it. In my opinion, it was easier to remove the grill, install the bumper and then put it back on rather than the way the instructions instructed. By the time I got it all back together, I had put in 3 hours and was happy that I had done it myself despite poor directions. In the instructions, they don't get to that part of the process because there is still a bunch of leftover hardware for the safety switch mount.
As you can see in step 9, you will need to run the installer to complete the installation. The EZ5 base plate from Roadmasters does not comply with any of these requirements. The car's frame does not need to be drilled or cut in any way. The frame of the car is used for this purpose, as already existing holes on it enable this. But despite all of that, I decided to install We could not have returned it and reordered, because the cost and time would have been too much. HOWEVER, THANK YOU! My mistake would have been to order this base plate had I known what I said above. I would have instead ordered My $18k dollar vehicle would have remained intact even though the hookups might be less than desirable.
Oh, and you can find the digital instructions online. The instructions are obviously not worth reading anyway, but the online version is at least colorful.
Is there anything I can say about this? We were able to purchase this item for a much cheaper price than where we would have bought it elsewhere. The fact that it is delivered to your door and well packaged is a great bonus. It was a pleasure working with Blue Ox and getting excellent product support. I was able to install the device myself with the assistance of a friend and saved a considerable amount.
My needs are met by this product.
I love it.
I really like the way it fits. During our trip from South Dakota to New Mexico, Florida, and back, I tow a Chevy Sonic behind my RV. There are no issues at all.
