You can use your Blue Ox BX1694 if you have a Blue Ox Tow bar or your Roadmaster 3154 if you don't The tow bar without a crossbar needs to be 3 (for tow bars). The crossbar needs to be 3154 If you have a Roadmaster Baseplate, you must do this first
The product that they show on their website should be ordered. This is what I did with my 2003 Silverado 4wd and it works great.
You will be able to fit this in a 2006 Avalanche. You do not need a BX1676 if you have a 2007.
In this case, it was because the 1999 was a classic body style along with a new one. In this transition year, General Motors underwent a lot of changes. You would purchase the BX1682 base plate if your 1999 1500 is a NEW model. You would need part number BX1712 instead if you have the CLASSIC body style. It's easy to install, but there are some ambiguous directions since you need it for different years of trucks and.
I found the brackets to be very well made, and the fit was excellent.
As is typical of Blue Ox products, the fit is excellent. Due to tolerances, there may be minor fit adjustments. I believe this is my fourth Blue Ox baseplate and it probably won't be my last. In a nutshell, Blue Ox is my first pick.
Instructions are straightforward and I bought this product and was very pleased with it. The instructions are easy to follow and the drilling of the new holes is the hardest part.
