Rust already visible after a couple of This setup was recently purchased by me. Once I hooked it up to my utility trailer, once to my fishing boat and twice to my 18-foot fishing boat. In one of the trailers, the chrome plating had come off the ball because of the tongue. Although I understand (understandable), I don't understand why the steel underneath the chrome plating has rusted so quickly. We are not experiencing a winter here, and I live in Wisconsin, which is not close to any salt water areas. Until recently, it has only been used with soaps for rain and car washes. I am a little disappointed in this fact, as the site is still completely functional, but it lacks visual appeal. After I took apart the ball and slide assembly, to clean everything up (hoping that it was due to rust, from one of my trailers), it was extremely difficult to put back together. After a good cleaning and a little grease, it went back together just fine. In the event that you need to replace this ball assembly, it seems like it should be done on a regular basis. If you can't change the pin, you'll have to change the slide and ball assembly, since it's not easy to beat the pin out of the ball. I think I'm being a little too meticulous, but once again it was fully functional. I got this hitch to do more than just add functionality to my truck. It also gives it a nice visual appearance.

This is the first time we've used The locking cylinder is marked with 40, so when unlocked it will pop out. The next time, the lock should be available in less than 15 minutes instead of taking 15 minutes tapping and wiggling.

Although the chrome on the ball has already peeled off, it is still a nice hitch. As a rub point, I am not sure about how long Chrome is supposed to occupy the point, but that is my only complaint.

In a nutshell, It's a real shame that this hitch occurred. Everything fits loosely and there's a lot of misalignment Whenever there is a bump on the road, the vehicle clunks. Fitment is an issue with this hitch, and the price is way too high. A similar drop hitch sold by Uriah Products was returned due to the EXACT SAME PROBLEM as this one. The price of this hitch is twice as much and it's in a different location The accessory package is smaller.

This hitch was purchased from Amazon and within 3 weeks I had used it 3 times There is supposed to be a gap between 2" and 2 5/16", so you are supposed to flip it over. No matter how hard it is to slide off, nothing slides off. The hammer is necessary to use for attaching it to and removing it from the ceiling. A hitch that is capable of being used the way it was designed is still far too expensive. The update is We will see if it does the same thing after we receive a second one from weighsafe.

I'm impressed with the size and weight of this aluminum machine. It fits my RAM 2500 2 with no problem. I've got no problems with my 5in hitch. This product appears to be well made, easy to use - just don't drop it on your foot haha. There is one thing that should have been included in this price, which you have to purchase separately, namely the hitch lock.
