On top of the ball is a nut. By using one wrench, it is possible to remove the ball. It doesn't really make any sense to me. You don't need to constantly remove the ball unless you wish to. We're fine with the 21536! Get in touch with Reese if you need.
I agree with everyone else. It is a very affordable option to begin using your towing kit, however I have the same complaint. A breakdown of the budget is below. The pros are The clamp is sturdy and easy to use, fits into the receiver nicely, and the cons (consider reading before you decide) are There is a force requirement of approximately 2 tons to remove the preformed unit An installation of a ball hitch has been completed. To loosen the nut, I attached vice grips to the nut and used a floor jack to push the vice grips up. There's no way I kid you, the back of my Jeep was lifted completely off the ground before the nut loosened. This method is safe to use, but you do so There were two ton of force required to remove the ball, but after that, changing the ball was a simple process. In short If all you need is the pre-price, then there's no need to pay for it. The vehicle has been equipped with a ball hitch and is a 5-speed I give this rating 5 stars. You might experience some frustration and questionable judgement when trying to remove the ball if you have to switch it. It has been found that most people who have reviewed this have done it somehow, so it should be possible for you to do the same. I would still buy it just because of the price alone now that I know how to get that ball off the ground. Both the Reese Hitch and the Hidden Hitch have served me well on both a 2010 Jeep Liberty (Reese Hitch) and a 2013 Nissan Murano (Hidden Hitch).
How does it compare to other brands? I am sure I am going to purchase that along with a sleeve pin, as well as. . . You can use the ball that comes attached, unless you have an industrial machine shop, but better use the one that comes attached. It was difficult for me to hold it solidly enough to prevent it from slipping as I attempted to switch out the ball. In order to clamp the ball in place, I detach the ball from the hitch and removed the ball from the hitch The nut is ratcheted with a 42-inch drive. Due to the ratchet, the crowbar and vice rail bent, so I inserted it in a six-inch vice There is a rail that measures 12 inches. On rough terrain, you won't have to worry about the unit breaking down. When the ratchet was bent, I attached a CV axle hub socket to the nut with a three-inch wrench Generally used as a quarter breaker. It probably should have been done with the big vice and the breaker bar in the first place, but that appears to be too.
The Reese products that I have used for my other vehicles and my Kawasaki Mule are all excellent. In all my years with them, I've never been disappointed. In addition to the lock, I am using a padlock to secure my hitch and step. I've had my ball and hitch stolen in the past. The ball uses a cotter pin or lock that is 5/8" in diameter. Despite my disappointment, I am quite pleased with my result.
Earlier comments that amused me have been read. We have a hitch, y'all! Unless it fits in the receiver tightly, this is bound to be a little loose. In regards to the chrome coming off, if you use it as a hitch to tow trailers and other gear, it WILL get scratched and tarnished. There is a safety spring clip as well as a pin. If you look at it from a monetary perspective, it is up there with the best on the market.
Powder coating is thin, so if you want better protection you will have to buy a spray can of some extra stuff or spend more on a more coated option. The thinness of a person In just the shipping journey, a number of areas wore off. The receiver fits in my 2" receiver on my truck just fine, but there is a bit of wobble as I The hollow shaft of the metal object makes it suitable for use with a rattle kit. There is a cost associated with those. Here's what you need to do To tighten up the tolerances, wrap a little electrical tape circumferentially around the hitch shaft. There you go! The rattle has been.
My hitch had to be mounted on my vehicle before I could use this to remove the ball because it was tightened down pretty tight. In spite of the nut being reusable, the only thing I wish was that I didn't plan to do that every day because otherwise I would have bought two, or one of those multipacks. Those are the ones we like. It was advertised as 9" and is at least 6". It was offered for sale at 9" and is at least 6". Even though the suit still fits me, it would be frustrating if I did not receive the other size as I had expected.
