Questions & Answers
The product received was exactly as described and pictured - a great purchase! It fits a receiver with a diameter of 2 inches and a 1-inch tube Installation and torque of a 7/8 inch ball is already complete. In the square tube that fits into the receiver, there is a square pin and a clip that are packaged together.
The answer is yes
The pin I received came with the lanyard.
I think it depends on However, the ballmount included will fit your hitch, but the included hitch ball is a 1-inch in diameter It depends on the coupler that you have whether the ball size is 7/8" or larger. I recommend that if you do not know what coupler size you are going to use, you just purchase a 45030 ball mount and a 21500 hitch pin and you buy the hitch ball separately

A fix is available for the 2005 4Runner. Despite the fact that it said that this would not fit my 2005 4Runner, I bought this 1 7/8" for it. All was well except that the pinhole for the NEW cotter pin was 90 degrees different from the pinhole on my old The 2" hitch pin on this new hitch is the same as my old one. Do not purchase a hitch for this vehicle if you do not already have one. You can either drill a new hole 90 degrees from the existing hole on the new pin that will fit this vehicle.
The product, which was meant to arrive within a week, arrived the day after it was promised. According to the description, it looks just like the picture. Only downside is that on half the length of the 2" square inside section, there is no powder coating, which can lead to rust. This is probably not an issue, but it would have been nice to apply an electrostatic powder coating. Before powder coating those areas, it is important to apply a coat of primer. There was no flaw in the powder coating, and the ball was perfectly torqued at the factory. Whether it is assembled in the USA (of an international component or not).
This CURT product is just as good as other CURT products I've bought I made it. It is especially noteworthy that the paint is finished so well. Having grown up in Florida on a barrier island, I now live on a small peninsula off the coast of Maine. There are few places on Earth as corrosive as the Middle East! It looks like new inside the receiver tube, except for the inevitable light rust inside the receiver tube. I have a CURT receiver that is ten years old.
As far as the product itself goes, I am not upset. I found the product to be both useful and exactly what I expected. Although the product was in poor condition, I am very upset at the condition of the box it was packaged in. I opened the box and discovered the mount to be incredibly scuffed up and the box it was in was used and beat up. Often, if I am not moving on the same day as the mount and need the mount to pull my trailer, I will send it back to the store and buy another one. The product I received was in a very poor state. I am disappointed.
Well made and sturdy. It is great if you need a 2" drop, but do not buy it if you plan to reverse the ball for a 3/4" rise. Getting the nuts off is a real pain. There seems to be too much torque on it. A mount and ball could be purchased and assembled yourself, which would be MUCH easier. The ball profile on the mount should be indented so you will only have to use one wrench to tighten or loosen the nut.
I'm not really able to comment on the I could not be happier with this Reese product since it is of great quality and solid construction. You're getting a lot of value for your money when you consider what you're receiving.
Among the few products that are manufactured in the USA, are made well, and are priced similarly to or less expensive than Chinese products. I like this product a lot.
The item works exactly Due to the fact that the ball had to be flipped, I contacted the manufacturer. It made no difference where the ball/mount was located, all the specifications stayed the same. I am extremely satisfied with this.
