Questions & Answers

Is it possible to slide this into the Ford Are you looking for 150 receivers?

That will indeed be the case. The two inch and two half inch receivers can be fitted with these.

Are the ball sizes fixed or is there a way to customize them?

This can be done by changing the ball size. This unit comes with a 2 inch / 2 5/16 inch There is also an option for 1 7/8 inches.

How is it that the hitch has two 5/8 holes on the shank of the hitch? Thanks. Would I need to drill a second hole in my receiver or could this be for different length shafts?

It refers to the shank diameter rather than the hole diameter for the

Could you use this to raise the hitch on a truck that is lowered? What effect might that have on loading ?

It is possible to do so.

It is heavy duty, but may not be suitable for all towing jobs
3/5

In the end, I expected the hitch to be over the top impressive for over $300. There is a lot of weight to it Without the ball component attached, this weighs approximately 40 lbs, and with the ball attached it weighs another 30 lbs. On it, all the welds seem to be in pretty decent shape (My fingers are crossed that the pins will survive, see below) I am certain of the long-term longevity of this product. It is so nice to tow heavy trailers behind my diesel that I honestly can't say anything bad 8" drop version of this vehicle has a huge weight rating, which means I can tow most anything I want with a pickup and at the same time, it feels sturdy. Towing a lighter trailer behind an SUV is another matter however, this is not a common scenario. In addition to the amount of play between the pins and the ball portion, there is also play in the adjustment holes, making this thing quite loud. On a recent 15hr round trip towing a small 5x8' trailer I nearly gave it away (if only it were free). It was as if the connection was experiencing every bit of trailer hop It was easy to hear and feel the clunk with every bump in the road because there is enough play in the whole setup. My eyes have started to notice a little extra wear and tear on the pins and pin holes due to the constant hammering of parts together (a heavier load and longer trip might have seen a crack in the pin).
With a $300 price tag, it may only make sense to include a locking pin so that the ball portion cannot be removed by someone else. The locking pin costs $80/pc, however (not sure how long a standard receiver pin could hold up against all that tongue weight and pulling power). It hasn't impressed me or made me unhappy, but overall, I am neither happy nor unhappy with it. Although I'll use it for a lightweight trailer, I will not be bringing it on long trips with me.

A BULLETPROOF SYSTEM! My truck required an adjustable class IV 2 inch receiver hitch with a 2 inch ball mount that would allow me to tow over 8,000 pounds
5/5

There are not many options available to you. My search led me to Bulletproof Hitches, where I bought an adjustable 4" drop There is nothing bulletproof about this thing! It should have good fit and finish, good design, and a good There is no shortage of all. I am very satisfied with the To protect this hitch and its balls, I purchased a couple of Infinite Security hitch locks. It is clear to me this item may be sought after by some nefarious people. Without lifting my vehicle, this model has the largest drop I could use on my truck. If I didn't, I might have to landscape on uneven ground. The top of the riser still permits me to open the tailgate with a couple inches of clearance even when it is in the riser position. I love it!.

The money is well spent
5/5

Many years ago, I used a Harbor Freight drop hitch until I learned I would be hauling heavy goods when I purchased a dump trailer. The peace of mind of having a hitch capable of handling the job was important for me. The heaviest load I've ever hauled on it was with my dump trailer loaded with five tons of stone (added trailer weight of three thousand and five hundred pounds). That hitch is certainly capable of handling a lot more than that. Do yourself a favor and invest in one of these hitches if you plan to tow a heavy trailer. Almost always, the weak point in a trailer is the cheap part. I would hate to see a $10,000 trailer wrecked by a (Here's something to keep in mind. The hitch on my truck is not set to the lowest setting because it has a 6" lift).

It is both appealing to the eye and extremely durable
5/5

In a couple weeks, we plan to rent a camper, and this thing will be great for towing it. The 10" adjustable hitch that I selected was perfect for our lifted truck since it used the measurement suggestions provided. As a result of its installation, the hitch sits at the ideal height with room to move up or down as necessary. It is also beautiful with the powder coating The way it looks on the truck is great.

The product is okay, but beware of the size
3/5

I have no idea if that will fit. My truck wouldn't have fit this hitch, but it would have been a great hitch if it had. This ad made me think it was for a hitch receiver, but it's not for a hitch receiver. For a big hitch receiver, this thing is for you. The size of it is even bigger than I imagined! The shipping for the return was paid by them. I did get most of my money back, but not all. Please take care!.

The look is stunning, the sound is quiet, the usability is exceptional
5/5

It worked like a charm. I sold my Gen Y because of the usability issues I had with it and bought this one instead. Very good. I would recommend it. The wheels are 35s on a 2012 Ram 3500 with a 6" lift. A tow numbered 13 I can hook one of my trailers to one of my trailers for between 21k and 22k. By far, this is the sturdiest and quietest hitch on the market with stabilizer bars. In the last few weeks, I have had six or seven different drops. I was dropped on a daily basis.

Those capabilities have allowed me to haul a larger trailer with it, so I can use the duramax as a team player
5/5

It does not clunk around like others that are adjustable, like those I have used in the past. I was looking at their site, and I really like all of the other attachments they make with the hitch.

Hitch System that can be bought for the best price
5/5

Since The BulletProof System is not the cheapest on the market, I was initially unsure of whether or not I wanted to buy it, but after receiving the product, I was incredibly impressed with how well designed Everything from the website, to the way the product was packaged, to the quality of the welds, to the fitment and coating, etc. Hitches like this are exactly what I'm looking for. I also value the peace of mind that comes from knowing that my rig is connected to a solid hitch when travelling down the road. You need a Hitch System that can be adjusted, is well built, and will provide you with peace of mind that your belongings are safe when towing. BulletProof is the Hitch System.
