A boat trailer will be perfect with this

Our boat can be easily towed out of the water using it. It can be bolted to our trailer to secure an anchor point. Because of the 8 to 1 gearing, I will be able to easily lift in and out of the water. In order to pull the boat out of the water, I will use a winch, which can also be used to lower the boat down into the water. The nylon webbed strap is around 2 1/2 inches wide and rated to support 3200 pounds, so it should be easy to do. Since it is zinc plated steel, it is not prone to rust, so if it gets wet, which is most likely in my application, it will not rust.

The impression I got wasn't good

My only concern is that I am not confident in the strength of the metal for the projects I am working on. Originally, I wanted to mount it on a trailer to pull logs up, but I feel like it will break before it can pull one ton. Apparently it is rated for 3200lbs, but I think it will be impossible to rig it up. I guess it's pressed or punched to make most of the parts, so it's just not enough to do what I needed, nor what it was billed for.

So that it can protect itself, I oiled it up with salt water grease. First time using it and found it to be very smooth to use and very solid.
