You can mount your winch using a 3 x 4 bolt pattern as long as your winch has a standard 4 bolt pattern Winch mounting mount MA11904 on the Viper will be 7/8" in diameter this will work with custom winch mounts on Vipers. Our recommendation for UTV winches is that the size of the winch be at least 3500 lbs.

It's for my Polaris Ranger 900 Crew, model 2017. This is a winch sensor used in Harbor Freight Badlands 5000LBS. Mounting the winch was easy with the bolt holes it came with, and the mount bolted right onto the ranger with no problems. There was only one slightly troublesome part for me, mounting the Badlands Fairlead to the Viper Fairlead was not exact and required larger washers. Overall, this is an excellent product. When using a winch of a different manufacturer, there are a few details to consider.
I used the set on my 2018 Polaris Ranger diesel without a problem. I liked the fact that the instructions were easy to follow, and it fit better than the stock brush guard and bumper. I was able to mount the Superwinch Terra 45 without much difficulty. The winches came with all hardware and extra adapters required for multiple bolt patterns as well as fairlead rollers.
MY NEW POLARIS RANGER 900XP is a 2017 model. I was looking everywhere for a WINCH MOUNT that wasn't going to cost me a small fortune. I went online to see if I could find a unit that would work on my machine, since the factory units with the POLARIS name on them are outrageously priced. AT ONLY $41, you can get a lot. The dealer I went to in Rogers, Minnesota was just up the road from me. They had just what I was looking for. A LOT OF CARE WAS PUT INTO THE MOUNTING PLATES AS THEY FIT PERFECTLY TO THE POLARIS FRAME AND ARE REALLY WELL MADE, TOUGH AND HAVE A HELP! I went to Harbor Freight and Tool and bought a 3500LB ATV winch that will also easily mount to the VIPER mount. It took a while to figure out the wiring, but everything looks great and works well. I adapted the remote plug in and toggle switch to the dash panel and everything looked and worked great. A SLIGHT PATCH OF FAIRLEAD AND WINCH HOOK STICKS OUT OUTSIDE THE FRONT BUMPER- I don't think it is a big deal- As I said previously, I will not be using the front bumper as a battery. I'm glad they exist. The winch plate that comes with my Polaris ranger 900 xp cost over 100 dollars, and I didn't want to spend that much money on it. I love the fit of this!.
I purchased a 2017 Polaris Ranger Crew hat and it fits A few simple tools are all that is needed for bolting on the component. No mechanical knowledge is.
Added a winch to my Ranger and it worked great.
I had to drill extra holes to firmly attach the winch.
I tested it out on my Polaris and it worked like a charm. Install was easy and the metal was of high quality.
