In short, yes. Although you may need to go to the hardware store to find bolts that are the right lengths for your trailer
There are some boat trailers that are not compatible with this bolt pattern. The bolt pattern on my Load Rite boat trailer is so close to the industry standard that I would have to drill two holes in order to mount the winch. Be wary that this winch does NOT come with mounting bolts, nuts, or washers, so you will need to salvage your old, rusted mounting bolts, nuts, and washers or you will need to go to the hardware store for them. If Fulton asks for $100 plus, it should include three bolts, nuts, and washers, but then again, it doesn't. You might want to consider this boat winch twice before buying it.
Yes, I am.
There is typically another safety hook attached to the trailer frame of most boat trailers. You could also mount the safety hook and strap or chains to the trailer if you do not have that.

During the installation, I switched out an old Fulton winch for this newer model. A winch like this may not work with every boat trailer due to its bolt pattern. There were problems with mine. I have a Load Rite boat trailer and the bolt pattern is so far from mine that I would have to drill two mounting holes to get it installed. Moreover, remember that this winch DOES NOT include any mounting screws, nuts, or washers, so you will have to either salvage your old and rusted screws, nuts, and washers or buy a brand new mounting kit from the hardware store. If Fulton asks for $100 plus, it should include three bolts, nuts, and washers, but then again, it doesn't. Consider your options carefully before purchasing this boat winch model made by Fulton.
This package does not include the hardware needed to install the winch on the trailer. In the strap, it is impossible to change its orientation without a complicated process. There is a hole at the top of the roller, but I need it to come off at the bottom of the roller. It seemed easy at first, but you can't take it apart that easily. When I rolled it all the way out and back, then I turned it the other way again, but the crank remains unmoving. As far as Fulton goes, I've had good experiences with the company in the past. Not sure what's going on.
In order to replace my boat trailer's Fulton original equipment, I had to upgrade. Since the old winch had the same mounting holes as the new one, I believed that the new one could probably use the old mounting holes. My winch mounting base didn't fit into the holes already drilled in my trailer, so I had to ream out the metal to fit. However, I felt that other than this flaw, this replacement winch was designed to be more heavy-duty than the original.
I use it for my 20" skeeter, and it is very heavy duty.
This is an easy to install package. The bolt pattern needed to be altered. This winch can be distinguished by the direction it faces (unlike my old rig). That would probably be too much for my 13' Whaler, but I don't want to end up on a boat with a.
I have no problems with it. I purchased this to replace my Fulton winch on my bass boat. It was easy to install. There was already an installed version of Strap.
It was exactly what I was looking for. It must not be drilled or rigged. I love the way this wench fits and how powerful she is. You can't go wrong with this purchase!.
It's very nice quality and the design is very good. On the flats boat trailer it is a good fit and works well.
