It's not relevant, because the frame of older TRX300s are different. It's not suitable for my 1990 S-1, but it's perfect for my 2000 TRX300. As much as I wish it did, it doesn't. For my 90, I have not been able to locate one.
Although it will work with other brands of winches, you will have to keep an eye on the height of the winch so that it mounts under the front plastic cowl if you are mounting another brand of winch than the warn provantage.
I used it on my Honda TRX300 from 1993 and it worked great
Selected User Reviews For Extreme Max 5600.3166 ATV Winch Mount for Honda Fourtrax 300-1993-2000
The installation of this unit was done on a 1993 Honda 300 TRX I love the ease of use of this product. To install the plate and the wench, you don't have to remove the racks or fenders. The removal of two bolts and installation of U bolts is all you need to do. The holes in the Harbor Freight 2500 TRX wrench lined up perfectly when bolts were mounted on the plate (photo). Furthermore, the bolt holes on the plate fairlead bracket did not line up with the fairlead guide holes. As a result, I improvised and installed the fairlead guide with U-bolts on the rack frame on the front of the ATV Mounted the wire harness wench remote box on the plate fairlead bracket (photos) so that easy access could be gained to the remote port on the front of the ATV using bolts I have no idea how that will affect the wire recovery on the spool while wenching, but my purpose for buying it was for the once a year "bottom out" in the woods emergency and not the everyday kind. In view of the fact that I only paid $60 for the wench, I thought the bill was quite steep at almost $50. There is, however, a convenience factor that I used to justify the purchase price.
JUNK! The hardware included with this package does not work! Almost all of the hardware provided with equipment such as this is Chinese Scraps or cross-linked junk that is easily stripped or crossed-linked I am also unable to find it in any US store because it is threaded, and it is of odd sizes. You don't need to waste your time - just throw away the nuts and bolts and buy standard sizes at the There may be more threads to add to The usual 5/16" die and some oil costs less than $10, but bolts cost more.
Had I taken pictures before putting everything back together, I would have had a better overview. When my wench crapped out, I welded it to the mount so I couldn't reuse the original mount I made in the garage. The original mount worked great for 20 years before my wench crapped out. It was a different world back then - no Amazon! It was absolutely true that there was The prefabrication process was a real pain in the butt. We had no problems with the quality, the brand name and the price - it was much easier than we expected The new wench did not come with a standard bolt pattern for the US, so I had to buy a new Fair Lead. This is the only alternative for me, since the space is so tight and so difficult to access.
The house they've been using for the last few months was installed by them themselves and has been well maintained. I think that speaks volumes about you!.
I found it to be a great fit on my 1993 Honda Fourtrax. The badland 2500 winch I installed came from Harbor Freight. Getting the setup done was straight forward and if need be I made a YouTube video of it. The price was well worth it.
I used this on my 2000 Honda Fourtrax 300 without any problems. A winch can be easily mounted with this tool.
I like the tight fit, but it's comfortable. It is very important that your winch isn't too large, or it may be no longer fit and you will need to make This was a Champion 2500, and it had just enough room to fit in my winch.
I installed it on my 99 Honda TRX300FW with no problems. In fact, if you mount this plate to the car, the fairlead will end up just behind the front bumper, just below the front grille. As well as mounting the winch, the fairlead mounted easily on it as well.
