Questions & Answers

Does this seal come with a warranty?

An extended warranty of 5 years is included.

Does anyone have complaints about the seal is it too thin, flimsy, ?

This suit fit perfectly and looks exactly the same as the one I This is a good product.

Would this fit an 89 Wrangler, and if so, how would you rate the fit?

This bonnet is a perfect fit on my 1994 Honda Civic. If the windshield hinge on the 89 is the same, then I think it should be fine. On a side note, unless you plan on folding it frequently, it might be wise to use sealant on both the top and bottom of the cowl seal to keep it Since I did this, I haven't had any water leak into the floor pans.

Thank you very much for sending it so quickly to us
3/5

As the screw is original, it needs to be used. My 1995 wrangler already had an original one in it. I decided to replace it with this one. We decided to replace my old seal because it was still partially dried out but was leaking water. Thank you very much for sending it so quickly to us. As the screw is original, it needs to be used. Regardless of the lack of directions, you would think screwing off the old seal and screwing on the new one would be straightforward. We did that and my jeep does leak a little, but not as much as it used to. I had had an old seal where the rubber mat that covered the outside of the window lay flat against my windshield frame without any adhesive whatsoever. My new seal is curved, and the rubber will have an adhesive. To tape the seal flat to my Jeep, I tried to use some 3M adhesive, but it kept curling up again and again. Thus, the water runs down my windshield now, falls between my windshield frame and seal and settles at the bottom of my The only problem is I now have to figure out what I can do to prevent the water from staying there and rotting out my windshield frame, which was in excellent condition without It would be helpful if there were directions or tips provided. As noted above, three stars are given because it greatly reduced the amount of water that leaked into the firewall upon installation, and I believe that the water was coming in from around the.

OE is better than this
5/5

It would be impossible to give this anything less than 5 stars for my 1995 Jeep I think this one was the same as the OE one, but this one is made of better rubber, and it is definitely There was perfect alignment of all the holes. No leaks. The seal was In fact, I had to use a ratchet strap to pull the windshield frame so I could begin installing the windshield frame bolts at the roll bar connection. Nothing is going to leak from this thing. I would have considered it overkill to add silicone. As soon as I finished replacing the wiper motor along with the rubber gasket, I drove my Jeep in an all day downpour of rain in the Pacific Northwest. I have not encountered any This gasket cost $38 and I'm very satisfied with it. I am Omix For a long time, ADA has been manufacturing parts for Jeeps, and they are experienced at what they do.

The molding on my 1994 Jeep YJ looked good out of the box, but when the windshield was installed, the bottom of the weather stripping protruded below the cowl side of the jeep, and the sealing side of the weather stripping did not adequately The item has been returned
3/5

On the bottom sealing edge, there is a difference between the new and old strip. I laid them side by side and it is a different shape. The return of items is something I dislike, but there was no way to avoid it.

I like it! Since does not possess adhesion, I don't understand why you are asking? The seal seems to be good, as the device is working well
5/5

Despite looking questionable, the window on the front appears to be in good condition. There is no clear answer to how tight it should be against the Since there was a shooting at the factory. This product is easy to install, but we recommend laying it flat before you install it. A Jeep YJ 93 was equipped with this part.

It did not allow the windshield to seat properly, but it still It may be that I did something wrong, but I just noticed that my windshield has net settled after months of installation
4/5

It is difficult to see over the windshield to the top of the passenger door. In order to check if anything is misaligned, I will drop the windshield and check, and update review if necessary, but for now, these leaks have only been caused by misalignment. In spite of the fact it looks way better than the old one, there's.

This is a great product
5/5

A pro is It is easy to install and has the right size and good quality. In addition to not being all the way through the seal holes, there were no screws included with the seal.
I bought this seal for my 1995 Jeep YJ and it works perfectly. I asked the seal why it dried out I was very pleased with the new one. It fit perfectly and was of excellent I have a leak fixed now, and I like how it looks, In my case, I had only one problem the screws did not completely go through the holes. After finishing the holes with the razor, I put the screws back on. In addition, it would be nice if screws were included. I had to purchase some new mounting screws from the local hardware store since I had some missing from my old one. Overall, it was great for the price and I would definitely purchase again if I had.

Seal of the great
5/5

I like it better than the Seal of the great. Nevertheless, it is working well, and water is no longer pouring in my jeep recommend placing a small bead of silicon caulk on the bottom and top of the seal before you fold the windshield back up. This will ensure it is completely watertight. It is a common practice that works well for most people. You will also need to thoroughly clean all the surfaces that the cowl will sit on, since if any dirt or rust is present, leaks will occur more frequently.
