Both of the tabs on the brackets that bolt to the frame and the bracket that screws to the plastic spoiler were not bent quite at the right angle, which meant a little gentle nudge was needed to get them to bend at the right angle. There were also issues with the holes in the small brackets, as the large black plastic plugs required a larger opening - The screws had to be drilled out larger because they were tapping screws. Small silver plastic screws fit, but were not long enough to securely attach the screws. I found it challenging to get the bolt up through the hole in the bottom (especially on my own), but with enough patience one can achieve it. If you intend to align the chin spoiler, it helps to have at least one other person holding a flashlight. I think the spoiler looks good once it's on right. Overall, it looked good except for one small blemish, which was small enough that it did not bother me too much. I got the matte finish one. We can clearly see that the blemish was caused by manufacturing, rather than I, by the way, had my package very well packed. Though the poorly photocopied instructions (with questionable grammar) could've been better handled, most people can install it in less than 30 minutes with basic mechanical knowledge.

The spoiler has 5" more of it than normal). I could not comment on the bolt issues some had with this product for the reason that it was a perfect fit with my engine guard hardware.

As stated in other reviews, the two main hardware bolts are poor quality. In contrast to most of these other people, I work on my bikes and have some in my bin. As well as the lock washer, I added a washer. It should not be too difficult to add. It is probably best if you sold your motorcycle if you are in need of directions. I was pleased with the piece as it was good for the price but did not include the Harley shield (a good thing for me but not good for others).

Although vague, I knew I was doing the right thing when I went ahead with the project. Taking a minute to visualize how everything installs led me to believe that the fit is good. I like the styling and the action is exactly what I was looking for. When searching for chin spoilers to match the front wheel's radial curve, I was careful to find one that did. Your analogy hit the nail on the head! This is the FXSB for 2017.

An easy trip to the hardware store will have you up and running in no time. I have great success with the four bolts that go on the top of the frame and the two screws at the bottom are also perfect fits. An inside spoiler bracket is attached to the body by three screws. One of them is threaded while the other two By using some loctite and a screw that fit snug, the issue was solved. As a result, the bike has a cleaner look. It does not have a single scratch on it, which was my biggest concern. They did a great job wrapping it to avoid getting.

Although it looks very glossy, it is made of shiny plastic that will scratch very easily, and it cannot be buffed I do not think that it is worth the effort. This item is interesting to me. I am very satisfied with my 2018 Harley Pay close attention to the hardware when you are using the computer. A few of the bracket's bolts were a little challenging to get into the frame. In part, that's due to Harley and the way the frames are painted. There is a paunted thread in the frame of the motorcycle, so you have to loosen and tighten the bolts a few times before tightening them again. Perhaps spray WD40 on the large bolts, that was what I did and it worked. However, tightening it still requires a bit of caution.

HD is asking for $150 for this one. Yes, it has a bar and shield indent, but it's placed in an inconvenient place where it'll get beaten up by road grime, and I'd prefer a $30 cover to cover that damage. As well as shipping from the USA, this item is sold by Amazon. Installing the product was a little bit challenging, but if you are handy with tools, you'll be able to do it. As soon as you understand the concept, you'll agree with it.
