The shorts give a sporty look and are very easy to put on. My car has been broken into three times and all three times it was to open my trunk through the vent window. I got these to deter break-ins as I've had the vent window to open my trunk three times. The lock could be easily taken off if a thief really wanted to, but I haven't tried it and it hasn't loosen since the lock was fixed. The purchase was a good one for me.
