Unfortunately, it does not, but I was able to lower it with the help of a long Rachet extension and a rachet.
Drill the rivets out and either straighten or replace the wire rope. Bolts and nuts can be used in place of rivets.

My 03 Ford F-150 was able to fit into it. Super cab short box truck, 150, 2 wheel drive. Because the bolts didn't come with it, keep the two that came with it. Someone mentioned that it won't lower on its own without weight, which I noticed as well, so I grabbed some from my workbench; once installed, it would be awkward to lower the cable by myself. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase.
too easy. I spent more time watching the YouTube video on how to install this than I did removing the old winch and replacing it with a new one. To keep the rusty bits out of your eyes, put on your eye protection. My spare tire is no longer in my truck's bed, but is safely winched in place.
This was easy to apply and appears to be durable enough to be used for a long time. Because the product has captured nuts, they should provide bolts; my factory bolts were shot, so I had to go to the hardware store to get new ones.
Replace the old one with two bolts. If the plastic tube that guides the hoist tool is not twisted off, it will not drop through the frame opening.
It replaces your rusted and worn-out original tire winch and performs exactly as advertised. The cable on mine was fraying and rusted. My truck has been restored to its former glory. My spare tire now has a place to call its own.
If the part didn't come with the two bolts needed to mount it, I would have given it a five-star rating. I needed to go to the hardware store to get something. To finish the installation, you'll need 50 cents in 3/8" bolts. Why they didn't include them is beyond me.
This spare tire hoist is an excellent buy. Changing out the old one was surprisingly simple. 👍.
The final product was satisfactory. Worked as expected and was painted black to prevent rust. br>Hole did not line up so I had to use Redhill 1 to get all four bolts through it and the undercarriage.
