7/16-
I'm not sure what thread size the rod is, but it's 7/16ths.
Screw the padlock pieces together until they are equidistant, then move the holes closer together as shown in the picture, install the padlock, and the padlock pieces will not unscrew.
It's a little over 4 inches wide.

br>They use an off thread because they don't want people to do that. They work with a 7/16-inch drill bit. If you want to use the brackets as they are, you'll have a hard time finding carriage bolts or lug nuts in that thread. br>In the end, I simply drilled them out and tapped them to 1/2 - inch. 13 so that I could use the bolts I had purchased. I could've done half of it if I'd had more time. 20 was supposed to be the standard, but I had already purchased new bolts.
There isn't enough time. The product is excellent and performs exactly as it should. But it's not long enough for what I needed. These were about an inch too short to fit my tire on top of my trailer rails, and I have fairly standard box trailer rails (4 inch?) ), as well as ST205/75R14 wheels and tires. (In the end, I chose the longer 12 inch version of U Bolt - However, it lacked the locking nuts, so I kept it and combined it with the other to make a 12 inch version with the locking nuts.
I needed a solution for mounting a spare tire to a bar underneath my trailer. The majority of items will not work, but this one did. In comparison to other options for mounting a tire under a trailer, this saved me a lot of money. This item comes highly recommended by me.
It performs as expected. Excellent value for money. On my 5-year-old daughter, it works perfectly. Bolt the spare wheel to the trailer.
Without the exorbitant cost of other tire mounts, this was exactly what I needed. Good luck stealing the spare tire because it's well-made, simple, and secured with a padlock.
To get one hole in the lug nut hole and the other in the center axle hole, I had to bend the bracket and add two large washers to keep it in place.
It wasn't a particularly good product, and it didn't fit very well. To fit 5 people, I had to bend. design of holes.
