Questions & Answers

On the blade, what type of material is used? How does it treat the windshield? Is it fine or does it leave scratches?

A plastic blade is attached to the tool (I don't know what kind of plastic it is). Because it didn't scratch the inside of my freezer whether it was plastic (I used it to help defrost the freezer), I strongly believe it would not scratch.

What happens if you scrape your windshield with this scraper?

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make use of it. I bought a different scraper and it does not scratch my windshield. It is hardly effective at scraping off the ice.

The plastic looks durable, but how durable is it?

There's one angle you won't see in photos I think it looks flimsy once you see how thin the plastic is on the underside. Not only is it not one piece, but it's a lot of pieces The piece appears to be made of two or three thin pieces of cheap injection-molded A good ice scraper should be composed of a single piece of plastic and some kind of durable handle attached to it securely. That's not what I'm talking about here. There might be some use for it in Florida winters, but not in higher latitudes.

What is the strength of this scraper? Could it be used to chip away ice that has collected ?

When he chips ice in the freezer, my husband has harmed a couple mini fridges by rupturing the wall of the freezer and causing refrigerant to leak. The best way to melt it is to use heat on GSAL's suggestion or to leave it turned off open until it melts completely.

Ice is eaten away by it as if it were butter by a hot knife
5/5

After purchasing this about a month ago, I had hoped to use it as soon as it got warm, but it ended up getting cold with a snowstorm. In the past, I used the snow brush/scraper handle type, which works well to brush off snow, but could not eliminate ice. I saw this on Amazon and thought it might be useful. I read the other great reviews and had no doubt I had to get this. Recently, we had a snowstorm in the area, accompanied by little to no visibility A layer of ice covered my windows when I woke up. It was pretty impressive how quickly I removed all the ice with the claw part, then I flipped the blade scraper part over and I worked my way through the windows. I'm pretty impressed with how hard this ice was to remove. Despite the fact that this ice grab was thin, I feel confident it will eat through thick ice as well. For the price of this winter tool you just can't go wrong, and it will really make your life easier on those windy and cold mornings. The world is freezing over. My first impression was so good that I had to make this video to demonstrate how effective it is. Invest in one of these and you'll be glad you did.

The answer is yes It's well worth the wait! There is good 'coverage' on each swipe, and this is a very sturdy case
5/5

This is great! Thank you so much! As well as my other five cameras of varying types, I put this one in the car. During the freezing rain yesterday, we got a fairly thick layer of ice. After two hours of rain, we got a thick layer of ice. I walked home to the sounds of my colleagues cursing the weather Their cars are being chopped smashed, scraped, and chucked away by workers. It appeared that they were using the long ones (I have some too), the brush on one end and the hard to find pressure scraper on the other. That's when I remembered I had one like this. It seemed like a good opportunity to give it a try when I started the car and grabbed this blue one. The power of video - WOW! I was able to not only get the angle right before the other poor people struggling to get their car to the right angle but also assist some others with the other sides of their cars and get out of the lot before others out there for much longer. It's not often that I give more than five stars to a product, but this deserves more! 2 passes on a thick piece of rubberized plywood covered the full width over 2 passes on some thinner parts It took some elbow grease to clean up the ice. I just sent one to my sister and I am very pleased!.

An excellent score It has a nice wide edge and is of high quality! The scraper is wonderful! Heavy-duty steel is used for the construction With a padded handle, it is made from heavy-duty plastic
5/5

This scraper has a wide scraping head, allowing it to be used more quickly than other scrapers. I had no problems with it damaging my windows, and it removed the ice quickly and smoothly. If I could make one suggestion for improvement, I would make the product a little bit longer (I am 5'3" tall, and my Mazda SUV prohibits me from reaching halfway across the windshield). Generally, I find this to be a very high quality I recommend this product as it is of high quality. You can mark this review if you find it useful. I deeply appreciate what you've done for me!.

If you use a brass or plastic ice scraper, your windshield will be scratched
3/5

It left fine up and down scratches on the windshield when I used this on a brand new car. There has even been a time where I used an ice scraper with a brass blade called the Fantastic Ice Scaper with brass blade, but in that case it too left scratches in the paint. it seems the lesson is to be aware of fine scratches when using ice scrapers and to use them rarely unless you don't mind them. I have given it three stars because I am okay with it.

This is great when it gets cold in Central Texas
5/5

Being in an area where there is little ice means you don't really know what's in store for you. City and county officials in America won't spend money on road clearing equipment that will sit idle, snow (and snow chains) will only ever appear on TV, and one gets used to scraping ice from the windshield without even thinking about it. A few weeks ago, I read an article about things you should keep in your car all the time, and an ice scraper was one of them. I remember having to wait forever for my defroster to wear down the ice on my windshield last year after a hard freeze was accompanied by rain, and I was finally able to drive to work after wiping what was left off and not getting stuck. My first thought was to get a scraper, and when the next time I found myself in that situation, I would be the only one prepared. As it turns out, the same thing happened.

One day about a week ago, I awoke to see my car's windshield covered in a thick layer of what I thought was just It turned out that just about everything had been melted due to the sun melting just about everything's thin layer of overnight ice My windshield was cleared quickly once I recovered my composure. It covered the fronts of all the cars parked in the shade, including mine. All stupidly excited, I grabbed my ice scraper and jumped out of my car to unravel the mystery. This is a sturdy tool that can certainly make a difference for more than the mess I had to deal with that morning, but it was so useful to have with me when I pulled out of my parking spot and saw my neighbors trying to clear their.

This is much better than a CD case
5/5

I received this just a couple of weeks ago, and I have it in the bottom part of my glove box (2012 Toyota Sienna, there's a smaller top glove box and a The document fits perfectly in there along with some other documents and, admittedly, some junk that I should probably get rid of or move home. Regardless, the temperature in my area has only dropped below freezing twice in the past few months, and I was able to test it While the handle and neck of the scraper are sturdy, and although I'd have to put some pressure on them to scrape the ice from my windshield, I felt at no risk of them breaking. Since I haven't used the other end, I cannot say for sure how well it works. Laughing is good for you. The winter there is so brief that I have never purchased an ice scraper, and because of the short time when it gets cold enough to require one, I have never purchased one. I used to use a CD case when I was learning to drive. An upgrade of this magnitude is needed. The plus side. Is it even necessary to carry a CD case anymore?.
