Questions & Answers

What makes the ert11 backup camera different from the ert01 backup camera?

eRapta is responsible for the ert11 and ert01. The ert01 is a fixed mount bracket, and the ert11 comes with two types of brackets. The ert11 is the most recent chip from 2020, and it has a beautiful design. With a 720P lens, you'll get a much clearer picture. It has a mirror function and can be used as a front or rear camera, but the ert01 doesn't.

Can I install this camera in place of the backup camera in my 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 and still see the image on the built-in screen?

Most monitors and head units can be used with the camera.

So, what's the deal with this?

It's a 720p HD license plate camera that I installed in my 2016 Jeep, and the image is crystal clear.

Is it possible to use this camera on a Nissan Murano 2009?

Hello there, pal. Yes, without a doubt. br> It's a backup camera that can be used in a variety of situations. If your screen/monitor/radio/stereo has an RCA video connector and your car's voltage is 12 volts, it should work fine. 24V. br>I hope my response has been of assistance to you. br>If you have any questions or require assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. br>Best wishes, eRapta service teambr>

Installing is a breeze
5/5

The Camera Can See In The Dark. I had an Erapta Backup ERT01 Camera with 8 small LED illuminators installed for about 6 months and was pleased with it. I recently took it off to replace a registration decal on my tag and discovered that the camera mount obscures the registration decal information - which may land me in hot water. Erapta offered to send me a free upgrade to a higher-resolution version of their camera in exchange for testing and writing a review. The new ERT11 camera is attached to the license plate with screws and does not cover the registration decal. I put it to the test in the middle of the night in a wooded area with no lights turned on except my truck's backup lights. The night image had some noise and grain, but it was in color, and I could see everything behind me clearly. On my Pioneer head unit, you can compare license plate photos from the old and new cameras, as well as night and day images. It's worth noting that the camera's 1280x720 resolution is higher than the 720x576 resolution on my Pioneer 4200NEX display. Now I'm very happy.

For the Alpine WX 650, this is an excellent low-cost camera
5/5

It's a fantastic camera, especially for the money. Many factory cameras pale in comparison to this one. The harness is long enough to fit a full-size Toyota Sequoia. br>br>I grounded the black to the trunk lift gate directly. br>I spliced the reverse light positive wire into the two rear red wires. br>The front red wire is connected to the radio "trigger wire. " br>From a yellow rca to a yellow rca To turn off the parking line guides, I cut the green loop.

Very nice camera with excellent image quality
5/5

On my 2013 Jetta Sportwagon, I installed this camera and a small display from the same company. The camera and monitor work well, and mounting them was simple. The image was flipped, so I inverted the camera by bending the supplied mount to get it right side up and clear of the rear hatch handle (see image). It should be noted that the camera requires a minimum of 12V. Only 11 watts were supplied by my reverse tail light. 4V to the camera, causing the display image to roll because the camera did not deliver a strong enough signal. (check this first) I ended up connecting/controlling 14 Volts from the front cigarette lighter, which also powered the display, with a small relay activated by the reverse tail light. To get 14V to the back, I used a reverse trigger wire.

You can see in the dark! Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Like many others, I was duped into purchasing the second generation before reading a review for the third generation, which did not include the obnoxious actual LEDs
5/5

This is the camera to purchase. br>br> Day or night, this is a great shot. and, best of all, there are no leds. You can also choose to mount it with or without the license plate holder for a cleaner appearance. br>br>It has parking lines that will get you by, but there is no way to turn them off. This is a little inconvenient because the radio has parking lines that can be adjusted.

It's possible that you'll need to extend the wiring or cable
4/5

This cam was installed in a 2008-2009 Ford F-150 pickup truck. The license plate is attached to the trunk lid, and the brake lights are located in the corners of this 2012 Honda Accord. If your vehicle is set up similarly, you'll either need to extend the 12v wiring or connect a short video extension cable (75ohm), as the connection from the camera wire will be about 12" to 18" too short. I went with the extra video cable with a coupler because I didn't want to extend the 12v wiring. br>By default, the camera is attached to the license plate bracket frame; however, because the camera is mounted slightly above the bracket, the bracket can be mounted behind your plate, making for a less noticeable installation. br>br>The camera has two small wires that, if cut, turn off the assist guidelines and image mirroring, making them selectable. I left mine alone, but if my stereo/head unit had a guide line option, I would have turned it off. br>The first issue is that they tend to point 'upward' rather than outward, which could be due to the lens's fisheye effect at the edges. It's not bad, but it exists. br>br>Night vision is excellent. In complete darkness, the image is a little grainy, but it is still visible. The image was not washed out by my licens plate lamps, which was a plus. br>br>It also activates quickly, which is a plus. On another vehicle, I had another brand that took about 5 seconds to turn on. It's possible that the head unit, rather than the camera, was to blame. This one, on the other hand, activates quickly, which is something I wanted to highlight. Overall, a good camera. br>br> Because of the average rating and number of copies sold, I chose it. However, because of the features I mentioned above, as well as the fact that it's a little more expensive than cameras I've liked better in the past, I'm going to give it a 4 star rating. br>br>It should hold up, but if you're picky about these things, you might want to look for other options. I'll update the review if the camera breaks or develops problems in the future.

Not good
3/5

This item will be returned to you. The image flickered a lot after the hookup. The image stabilized with the ignition turned off, but the scan lines continued to scroll. I've read that the included RCA cable is defective, but I'm not going to go to the trouble of purchasing a replacement for this camera. Apart from the technical difficulties, the colored guidelines are overly busy and poorly placed. For some reason, the camera I received displayed more lines than the photos displayed. In addition to the lines on the sides, I had horizontal lines at various stop points that corresponded to the various colors. On the screen, it's pretty pointless and far too busy.

With a little tweaking, it worked perfectly
4/5

For my application, it's a great camera with one flaw. I couldn't flip the display view because there was no way to do so, so I had to mount it as-is. The problem for me was that I couldn't get the view I needed because I couldn't point it down far enough. For a brief moment, I considered simply removing the camera, flipping the bracket, and reattaching it. However, the molded indentation for the bracket on the back of the camera prevents you from doing so. So, as you can see in the photo, I simply removed the bracket and camera and bent the bracket where it was required. My minor issue was resolved, and I was able to enjoy my desired view. This was taken on a 2005 Sequoia. The cable was only a few inches too short.
