Yes, it has two slotted holes that can be used to mount it under a bumper or underneath your vehicle.
If it's connected to your reverse light power leg, the only way to turn it off is to install an auxiliary switch in line.
It is, in fact, water resistant. It's been on my box truck for over a year and is still as functional as the day I put it on.
I couldn't find any specific directions, but it appears to be a straightforward positive and negative relationship. When I was installing the reverse light, I discovered the wires from the back tail light and used a tester to locate the positive and negative connections.

It's loud, waterproof, and simple to set up. I work a lot on a college campus and find it difficult to see everything out of my rearview mirror or rear window. (Side windows are missing from the van) The last thing these kids want to see is a tiny can backing up in a culture where everyone's face is buried in their phones. Enter the backup siren, if you're into that sort of thing. It's nearly impossible to go unnoticed these days. br>Easy to set up. Ran power to the reverse light, which was grounded to the van's chasis. I used RTV silicone to ensure proper water proofing around the edges and seals, which took about 15 minutes total.
You get what you pay for, according to the old adage. There were no instructions included with the alarm. It is very simple to set up. One wire (Positive) connects to the main wire, while the other (Negative) connects to the chassis frame (Ground). The alarm goes off one day, beeping, beeping, beeping. The alarm beeps, beeps, beeps the next morning. The alarm goes beep, beep, beep, bop, bop, bop the next day. It's a different day every day. This is a waste of time. Beware.
This unit is powerful, loud, and simple to set up. When backing up my SUV, this is an excellent warning device. The sound resembles that of a delivery truck. BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP B 😁.
I wired it in and it works perfectly. The only issue I had was with the placement. br>Be careful of slush ice from the tires covering it and preventing it from working. br>Aside from that great product, be careful when installing it. br>I needed it for plowing commercial lots so people would know when I was backing up.
After my coworker backed into a tree, I put this on his truck as a joke. It works great; it's loud enough for its intended purpose while also turning your coworkers' faces bright red!.
This device emits a significant amount of noise. On a CAT or other brand loader/tractor, it's the same backup alarm. If you work in construction or own a large vehicle, I strongly recommend this unit. It is simple to put together.
Because there are no instructions, wiring, or connectors (which cost me around $15), the buyer must know how to install it.
It's very loud and not cheap, but it's simple to install. br>Update: It stopped working after less than three months.
