Questions & Answers
If properly installed, they should last a long time. Check your connection for a good ground; if all connections are secure, you should simply purchase a new one. They are subjected to the elements and do not last indefinitely.
It's a regular backup beeper, not a special one. You're thinking of the backup sensors, which will beep more frequently as you get closer to something.
Connect the poles of the unit with twin strand electrical wire. The other end of the cable is connected to a backup light source. Simply remove a small amount of insulation from the light wires and connect them. Tape, soder, or a combination of the two is a good idea. Lighter bell wire or house lamp wire will suffice. You're only dealing with 12 volts, after all.

Easy to put together, feels solid, and is louder than expected given its compact size.

It was only installed a week ago and is already failing half of the time, and when it does work, it is very soft. Very let down.
