It is a set that can be easily installed on your own.
The instruction manual does not specify the maximum weight, but if I install them according to directions, they will hold me with no problems, and I weigh 210 pounds.
A steel coating that is powdered. I found them to go on pretty easily as well. My 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 is wearing one of mine
Unless you're very careful when stepping on the brackets, which are half the thickness of OEM, you may experience some flex.

The 2011 Chevrolet Silverado. The outside of the cab looks and feels great! It takes less than an hour to install.
Although the tube quality is impressive, the brackets appear to be just 1/8th thick, and the bars flex, they do not feel as solid as the factory models. As opposed to the Silverado, which is a 2017 double cab 4x4. The bracket for the front passenger side was different, as I think it is on many other cars to "accommodate" the The bracket and clips along with all the others would have made the installation process It would make more sense to buy a different brand the next time. The brackets were weak.
The only thing I didn't understand was the use of an additional passenger front bracket. If there had not been that bracket, I would have been able to finish my installation in half the time. It's all good and it looks great. I probably spent 40 minutes installing it myself, but I'm happy with the result.
It was pretty straight forward to install. I had the driver side installed in 15 minutes The first 20 minutes went smoothly, but when I got to the passenger side front bracket, things began to unravel. With the exception of the mentioned bracket, 5 out of 6 brackets are identical. It is unclear what the instructions are In the end, I got it on, assembled the rest, but the bar was out of alignment, so I removed the front bracket, put it back on, and removed it In the 40s A 45-minute wait later I was able to get it adjusted properly. It seems to be a solid product in general, but the installation of one bracket was a bit problematic. In the event that the installation had gone more smoothly, I would have given 5/5. It is not clear why all the brackets on my 2018 Silverado were different.
I was very impressed by the quality of the hardware, especially the fasteners, which were all the right size. In addition to being clear and well illustrated, the instructions were written in great It all went together just as the instructions said it would. There are no issues with fit or finish everything is solid. According to their description, the running boards are easy to use and look great. The fact that you can find a gadget that works and is easy to install is astounding. A lot of people are likely to like this idea. A bit more than an hour was needed to install everything. The only tools needed are a 12 mm wrench and a socket wrench with a 3-prong end The extension is 6".
But after viewing a video on youtube and going through the VERY confusing instructions, I finally got it working. This was the first time I wore them, so I was initially a little nervous, but after all I love them so much. It's much easier for my wife to get into and out of the truck now that we have the lift, so she gave the thumbs up to the purchase of a 3 inch lift. A lot of work went into these and it's well As well as my 08 Sierra, it looks better.
It is not normal for the front passenger bracket to be in three pieces when it should match the other five A threaded hole and a predrilled hole were mentioned in the installation guide. It had to be modified to fit the pinch weld as there was no space between the 3 pieces of brackets. The installation took about 10 minutes, and it took me about 2 hours to figure out how to jerryrig the right front passenger side. I NEED A REPLACEMENT BRACKET FOR THE FUNKY 3 PIECE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT.
My GMC Sierra has these steps in place of its Westin platinum oval steps after seven years. Their overall thickness is noticeably thinner (as I expected), but they also attach to aluminum tabs on the sheet metal. It still feels shaky when I step on the passenger side (I weigh 220 pounds). I have made sure the fastenings are as tight as possible but still don't feel certain this installation method will hold up. The better option seems to be to attach the model to the frame. The install method is a little bit tricky, and I shouldn't have checked that first. They will work, but so far I'm not impressed.
