The product was shipped in excellent condition. Unwrapping the bubble wrap, protective foam, and tape probably took me longer than installing it.
- My 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD is a perfect match for it. The running boards are a bit heavy but not overwhelming to do by myself - took about 15 minutes to install on the first side (just to figure out my game plan and get all the toyota bolts off), and about 5 minutes to install on the second side (just to figure out my game plan and get all the toyota bolts off). I put each end of the running board on a sturdy crate near the truck that was about the height of where it was to bolt, then crawled under (floor jacks or stands would work well). Don't overtighten until all of the bolts are in place, leaving some room for hole/bolt alignment. FYI - Because my Toyota bolts were metric and my Tyger running board bolts were standard, I kept both socket types on hand. I'm not sure, but I believe the Toyo bolts are 11 or 12mm, while the Tyger bolts are 3/8 or 1/2"br>- It has a nice design. Easily accessible from the roof for my kayaks and roof cargo boxbr>- Because of the way the running board sits and extends out (but not beyond the mirror), it reduces side door dings from cars.
- I live in the Pacific Northwest, where it's always raining. There is no slickness to the surface.
- Because it does not mount much lower than the base of the door/body frame, there is virtually no loss of clearance (though this can be a minor drawback or something to be aware of). Because they don't mount flush with the door/body frame and stick out a little, I find it more difficult to exit than to enter. (Plus, the TRD 4Runner sits a little higher than other 4R models, which isn't helping) - br>br>Shorter passengers thought the running board was a great addition, and my friends 6' and up had no problems. It has to be my age and the fact that I am 5'10". br>br>Overall, I'm very pleased, particularly with how simple the installation was, the improved access to stand/remove items from the roof rack, and the lack of rattles. There is no loss of clearance due to the slip design. And. They appear to be very attractive.

It looks fantastic and fits perfectly on my 2017 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro. During installation, it was a little heavy, but jack stands assisted in getting the bolts started with just a finger. All of the holes are aligned with one another. This is a high-quality, heavy-duty item.

I completed a one-day project. Thanks to Tyger, I was able to install it myself using the foam packing blocks that came with it. , and a third foam block (not included) to get my armor to sit just one inch below the attachment points. Tyger also includes a well-illustrated instruction manual. Tyger provides all installation hardware in a small box to protect the bars from damage. br>br>Excellent packaging design and product. Tyger even added a pressed board with attached foam padding on each side to protect the inside from shifting if the box was placed vertically; mine had a manufactured date of about a year ago and still looked brand new. The packaging design is fantastic! br>br>I also made rubber gaskets (not provided) to go between the metal of my 4Runner and the Tyger armor bar attachment points to prevent metal-to-metal corrosion (see photos). br>br>For safety reasons, I added rubber steps (which were not provided). They're available on Amazon and are a perfect fit after being cut down by 2 5/8 inches in length. With no cutting, the width is ideal. I came up with the name for my rear Tyger armor, which I bought separately. br>br>These side armor bars should keep you safe from grocery carts, door dings, and even side impact (if the car is low enough). br>br>Although the Tyger bars have a rougher texture and a shinier finish, the pipe diameter they're made of is similar to (though the Tygers appear to be a little bit larger) the TRD Pro OEM cargo basket (although the Tygers appear to be a little bit larger). They complement each other beautifully. br>br>These Tyger side armors look great on my 2020 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro.

On the road, we discovered that the factory running boards were poorly designed, with large steps that hung down and caught on Kelly humps and other obstacles on occasion. I also required improved protection against parking lot door dings and easier access to my roof rack. br>br>These instructions are excellent!br>br>I have a 2. With a 5" lift, 33" tires, and factory steps, I was able to get 13 3/8" of clearance. The new steps have an inch of additional clearance and a snag-free surface. Design that is completely free. They bolted in easily and perfectly in the existing OEM running board mounting holes, and they're much stronger and beefier. They protrude 4" from the body and have a much larger footprint for access to the roof rack. These aren't rock sliders, believe it or not. They are not designed to be used for Hi-Fi because they are attached to the body rather than the frame. When scraping over boulders, use lift jack points to support the vehicle's weight. That is perfectly acceptable to me. They are, however, quite substantial and did not come at a price of $900. 95% of off- 95% of off- 95% They should be fine for road use. br>br>They arrived in excellent condition and were packaged extremely well. It took me longer to unwrap them than it did to put them together. br>br>This purchase has exceeded my expectations!.

I received a lot of positive feedback and strongly recommended them to anyone who asked. It's been about a year and a half since they were installed, and they're already rusting and chipping away at the paint! There was very little rain this year, no snow this season, and no, I did not hit any trails or have any off-roading experiences. a trip on the road I'll contact Amazon to see if the 5-year warranty is still valid, as this is not what was advertised. It's very disappointing that I paid $308 for it and it only lasted this long! If anything changes, I'll post an update.
