For my 2015 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab, these were the tires. I ordered during the holidays and received the product as quickly as possible. A fair amount of effort is required to assemble, though the instructions could be made more clear. My understanding of which way the mounts should face was unclear, so I just YouTubed it to see the position.
Before you do anything, go to the hardware store and grab four - 6 locknuts This is the only way to replace the supplied washer / nut pairs. It takes four of these locks. Those bolts beneath the Frontier (to which the first bracket on each side is attached) are shorter than those underneath the Frontier that are in the middle and at the back. Because of this, the flat washer, lock washer, and nut do not fit securely together on the Just use the lock nuts here and you'll be good to go. The following photos are available for viewing The silver locknuts shown in the photos indicate that these are the first bolts on both sides of the vehicle the black lock washer/nut combination shows what they look like on the middle bolt and the back bolt for each side. The directions are not clear, but the green bubble wrap covers the brackets and nerf bar on the driver's side, and the clear bubble wrap covers all the pieces on the passenger's side. There was a ding in the nerf bar on my driver's side when it arrived. The difference is hardly noticeable, and for the price of this set, I'm not upset. However, it would be cool if the company included more padding with these, to avoid this problem. Make sure to inspect these well before mounting if you want it to be perfect. I knocked off one star for that small dent and finding locknuts on the road, but other than that, I love them. This definitely looks like a Frontier crew.
There are steps that look great, are sturdy, and can be easily installed. There is a nice touch in that the parts are encased in plastic and that the plastic is color-coded. It is made of clear plastic on the passenger side and of green tinted plastic on the driver side. That's as simple as it gets! You can just ignore the instructions and use common sense (the brackets are bolted to the trucks using the bolts that are already You need to keep everything loose until you are finished, then tighten everything. This is a piece of cake! What's the point of having 4 star stars? Getting out of the truck might be a bit difficult if the steps are too close to the cab. The manufacturer should be aware of the following It would be nice to add an additional 1" or 1 1/2" at the bottom where the step bolts to the bracket to make these a solid 5+.
The graphics are beautiful. I agree with those who say they are a bit high for effective A safety feature to help you get in and out of The roof racks are great for getting on and off. The cleats are right where I need them for lumber, kayaks, etc. I also have adjustable cleats located on a boat. Upon installing my 2015 Nissan Frontier, I noticed one installation problem. bolts connect to six bolts that are already in place on the truck frame. The lock is made from one large washer and one large lock-nut A washer and one nut complete the assembly. It is almost impossible to tighten these down because the combination of two washers and one nut leaves just enough thread for the nut to grab. The nut and the lock had to be replaced on two of the six (out of six) Washer with a single locking mechanism- A nut that I bought on my own. If I had not made this swap, I would not have been able to get their hardware to work.
The parts were laid out and the installation was completed in 25 minutes. Make sure to match the manufacturer's recommendations I did a great job installing the studs. There is a little concern over the length of the studs that go on the front brackets, but many have suggested using 2 pairs of #8 self locking nuts and some lock-tite to solve that issue. Add peace of mind with Tite. In the absence of the lock-nut, the supplied nuts You can drive to the hardware store and spend $1 for 4 lock-style washers, as soon as the first one goes on and holds for a short while Machines for washing. The issue has been resolved.
A 2018 Nissan Frontier crew cab is equipped with this. My attention was drawn to the black bars I saw on a Nissan Dealer truck, so I utilized Amazon to try to find them and found this product. We couldn't mount them due to the short bolts used for mounting, meaning all the washers provided weren't able to go on. It has been found that the first flat washer is all that is needed in some cases. After being mounted they look very nice, but they are extremely high and do not work well as stepping stones. I probably should have gone with a larger circumference bar, so it stands out more and is I like the way they look, The only way to know for sure is to wait until the parts arrive.
A Nissan frontier was the reason for me purchasing this set. A brush guard and bed bars had already been installed, and I wanted side steps to complement them. However, despite the fact that the product is extremely well made and installation is not difficult, the brackets and even the bolts are very visible from a distance (in my opinion, the bottom bolt cannot help but catch your eye). Even from 10 feet away it would be possible to see bolts and brackets sticking out of the side, so if that is not an issue, this is a great product. If I had known I would have been able to see the bolts and brackets sticking out of the side while walking around the truck, I probably would have purchased a better product. However, I used black permanent vinyl and covered the bolts in the bracket to make it look better. You can take my review with a grain of salt if this sounds petty to many of you.
Although the bar fits nicely on the truck, the bracket on the truck that attaches the bar to the bar should be a few inches longer. You can't even step on the bar because it's too close to the vehicle.
