I have the same thing on my 99 sport. It should There is no padding included. As soon as I bought my Jeep, it didn't have original padding. In order to put some piping underneath, I used foam insulation. I like the way it looks

Installation on the front part of the roll cage was the only problem I ran into. You can only apply the skins once you have taken the bars off completely. There was a comment that said you needed to pad I concur with the above statement, since mine already came with padding. If you try to put more on, the zippers might not close!.
