Questions & Answers

Is it still recommended to change the oil every 3,000 miles like the API 5w30?

I've never used API before, but I've always used Royal purple hps. I've gone 10,000 miles between oil changes, and the oil is always clear and clean, as if it were new. br>HPS also contains high levels of zinc and phosphorus, both of which are important antimicrobial ingredients. friction. I'm confident that this vehicle could easily cover 10,000 to 12,000 miles.

Is anyone using this oil on a high-mileage engine, and if so, what is the current odometer reading and how long have you been using it? What did you use previously?

Ford Expedition is a vehicle manufactured by Ford. I paid 74k for it. I currently have 210K in my account. The tranny and the engine are the same. Since the day I received it, I've been RPing it. Tranny pan with a larger surface area. Run it in the transfer case, diffs, tranny, and engine. RP was the only oil that kept my Hayabusa from overheating at the red lights on those hot Texas summer days. That was my first encounter, and as long as the product remains the same, I will never use anything else.

Is this oil suitable for my Harley twin cam engine, which does not share oil with the transmission or the wet clutch?

I used regular Royal purple 20w 50 on my Electra glide 1450 FI from the 500 mile break in oil change onwards and have had no problems with it.

Is it possible that this 20w 50 will assist in increasing oil pressure?

Attempting to restore oil pressure will only solve the problem if the source of the problem is addressed. Running thicker oil in a tired engine is nothing more than a bandaid, and it simply increases the amount of carbon buildup in the engine. I've used marvel mystery oil in old Farmall tractors with stuck piston rings and sticky valves, and after one tank of gas, the tractor had nearly all of its normal compression and oil pressure back. It might be worthwhile to give it a shot.

This is what Royal Purple's technical team has to say about it
5/5

Please accept our heartfelt gratitude for getting in touch with us. Catalytic converters and other emissions equipment (e. g. , catalytic converters) will not be harmed by using HPS engine oils. When used in a mechanically sound engine, there is no risk of premature catalytic converter degradation (assuming your engine does not consume an excessive amount of engine oil). The anti- The ZDDP zinc and phosphorous anti-wear additive used in Royal Purple oils is a high-quality, high-retention, low-volatility version of the ZDDP zinc and phosphorous anti-wear additive. This version of the ZDDP additive does not vaporize easily, so it stays in the oil and protects the engine. If large amounts of oil do not get into the exhaust, the HPS series oils will not poison a catalytic converter.

Excellent oil, excellent customer service, and acceptable packaging
5/5

My 2010 F150 has had a tick since around 2500 miles, and I can't say enough good things about Royal Purple. Ford has stated that there is no problem, and a Google search yields the following results: that whatever is wrong with the engine will not cause it to fail before its expected service life (whatever that means). br>br>Royal Purple enters the fray. For the first time since I bought it, I changed the oil, and the tick went away. It now returns when the oil is nearing the end of its useful life. I use it at every oil change now and have had no problems. br>br>This isn't the first time I've bought Royal Purple from Amazon, but it is the first time it's leaked. Because the bottles were taped inside the manufacturer's box, it appears to be a manufacturer issue rather than an Amazon issue. I believe amazon didn’t do anything, but after a phone call, I was refunded 12% for the few ounces I had to replace. They offered a 100% refund if I returned it, which seemed like a waste for just a few ounces, so I opted for the 2012 to save Amazon money and me time. I On the products they sell, I couldn't get the same level of service from any of the local brick and mortar stores.

The film strength of RP SAE and M1 was 9x in a Timken load test
5/5

The film strength of this Royal Purple HPS is about 9 times that of Royal Purple SAE 5w20 and regular Mobil 1 5w20, according to the Timken load test. An order of magnitude separates the test results. As a result of the stronger film on the bearings, there will be less wear and heat. The difference in test results is due to the additives in this oil, which are not allowed under your car's warranty due to the possibility of catalytic converter contamination, which is unlikely. It's difficult to find a better oil for your car from an analytical standpoint, though using this oil may void your cat converter warranty.

After 1200 miles of following their advice, the main bearing failed
3/5

After the first 30 miles, I called the company to say that it didn't appear to be the right route. The fuel economy improved from 36 to 29 miles per gallon. Because my engine struggled under hard acceleration, I double-checked that this was the right oil for it. The man claimed that the oil was better than the manufacturer's and that the low temperature flow met or exceeded the manufacturer's requirements. The engine blew the main bearing after 1200 miles. br>br> When I called back, they said that if I wanted to file a warranty claim, I'd have to have royal purple disassemble my engine and wait for a decision. They also requested that a sample of the oil be sent back to their lab for testing. It would take 60 days to complete the project. br>br>To be honest, their technician's recommendation dispelled my concerns, and I doubt I'd use their oil again. Follow the manufacturer's specifications for oil, which include the use of API and properly formulated oil.

THE HIGH PERFORMANCE STREET OIL THAT WAS RECEIVED WAS NOT THE HIGH PERFORMANCE STREET OIL THAT WAS RECE I used it because I needed to change the oil at the time and still do now. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED in having to pay for something I didn't get.

"THE BEST AND CHEAPEST THING YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR CAR
5/5

" I'm 64 years old and drive a VW Golf 1 from 1992. 8 litres and 8 volts The tornado red paint hasn't been scratched. It had 38,000 miles on it when I bought it in 1996. She now has 206k miles on it and is my favorite car to drive, primarily because it attracts attention and people give me the thumbs up when they see this old man driving! br>I began with RP 20/50 and a zinc concentration of 120k. The few drops of oil on the floor vanished in a matter of days. At 80 mph, this small engine spins at 4000 rpm. She burns a quart every 1500 miles or so, but she runs so smoothly and doesn't spill a drop on my tiled garage floor in the process. I'm certain that if I hadn't started using it, I would have needed engine repair by now. I change the oil and filter (both RP) far more frequently than is necessary. I'm not bothered by this at all. It's important to remember that this is only a one. 8, There's no way I'm going to beat anyone! On the other hand, I can keep up with whomever I want on the highway. less than three digits 5000 rpms seems a little high for long distance driving, but I'm not crazy. In my F-class, I use RP. My 79 MG Midget, my wife's Sonata, and a 150 br>In my opinion, this is the best oil money can buy, and it's probably the most cost-effective way to keep your car out of the shop.
