A good adhesive does the job.

The reviews I read online said it wouldn't fit the 2004 model year of my car, so I was a little worried about buying it. As an owner of a 2004 Passat, the seat fits This was just the right price and it looks good too. Since I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a 15 year old car that is on its last legs, this was the perfect purchase. Prior to this, I had tried to replace the mirror with a generic plastic mirror that was cut to size but that didn't work. It was a pleasant surprise that this product worked and I'll definitely buy it again when the other mirror spontaneously falls out. In the passenger side picture you can see this product compared to the original that came with the car.
I am amazed! Works like a charm! I've owned four VW's, and almost every one of them had a broken mirror. Previously, I had to pay $165 to replace the whole unit, and I hated spending so much money for something so small. In my case, it was the passenger side mirror that started moving while driving down the highway, and that was the sign that it was about to fall off. I ordered it from Amazon last month. Read reviews before buying this product and spent $20 on it. The application process was straightforward, and I was able to replace the glass within a minute. We have been trying to remove it for almost a month now. Because of this, I gave it a rating of 5 stars.
I couldn't find my original mirror one day and couldn't find it to try to put it back together. In going to the dealer, I learned that the entire mirror system, including the heat sensor behind the mirror, would cost over $100. Having my sensor still there, and that it was functioning, was not necessary. Because everything else was connected and working, replacing it all seemed unnecessary. In the end I decided for 15 or so dollars I might as well try this replacement mirror, and worst case I fall off and I'm out 15 and would still have to buy one from I received the mirror intact in its package within 3 days of ordering it. To attach the mirror, I used some superglue and followed the instructions on how to install it. My wife had commented four months later that I had forgotten I had replaced that mirror, since it was the same color and worked the same way I wouldn't be able to tell that it is a new mirror because everything fits as it should. My 2008 VW Passat Lux is very similar to the product I am using. For reference I have a 2004 Ford Escape.
I have had no issues with this, and it has held up quite well. Earlier this year, my side mirror on my 2010 VW fell off (only the mirror and nothing else) and the VW dealership wanted $300 because they didn't think they could replace the mirror alone, but had to replace the entire side arm piece the mirror was attached to. Fortunately, I got a chance to show I love this. I will happily replace it each year, even if it lasts only a couple of months or a year, reducing the expense which would have been paid to I've been doing this for quite a while and so far it's been good.
A crack in one of my side mirrors caused me to need this to replace the CC in my VW Passat It is an easy to install sealant that was recommended to me. This is a replacement part for heated mirrors, and it works perfectly. This was much cheaper than the dealer, who wanted over 160 dollars because the entire side piece needed to be replaced. If the attachment part for the mirror pops out, you can glue it on or you can keep it in place. In order to ensure that there is no sliding, make sure you use two rubber bands for Criss Crossing. We had 45 minutes of dry weather and were able to drive after that. I appreciate your kind words!.
My 2006 Passat B6 was able to use this without a problem. In the end, I didn't use the extra adhesive goop I bought. On the back of the mirror, adhesive pads cover most of the back surface. To get the sticky pads to not overlap, I had to cut one of them. On top of that, I sanded and cleaned the plastic backing piece that the mirror attaches to with alcohol. Additionally, when installing it, I made sure that the mirror housing was centered well, and none of its sides touched the mirror. far, I have not encountered any looseness, and the car has been on it for over a month. As well as looking good, it functions well.
All was fine except for the mirror, I was able to attach it in less than two I am still able to use the mirror defroster. The glass mirror part was all I needed, but was all I could find.
* * * My auto parts store did not carry a replacement glass so I went to Volkswagon, who tried to take advantage of me by charging me $108 for the glass. It's a shame to pay $00 for a lousy mirror no bigger than a human hand. No thank you! I am satisfied with the quality and fit of this mirror. Almost a year ago I purchased a replacement mirror for my old Chevy Astro van - it was cheap and of the worst The mirrors are like those at amusement parks where there are clowns. In this case, it is not so Compared to the original mirror, this one looks just as good.
