Does this key face have to be unique or will anyone be able to purchase one like it?

There is only one key that can open these hood latches. As far as the manufacturer is concerned, they are not exclusive to them.

Can you tell me how good it is? The rust? faded?

Until now, there has been no rust, no fading, and it is of good quality. Although they are very difficult to install, unless you have a special tool to do so. It was necessary for me to have my car serviced.

Someone might be able to see through them?

The hood latch on these might be a little more difficult than others to saw through, but any type of latch can probably be sawed through. The result is still very impressive.

The results so far have been excellent

I find them easy to install and align. I think it takes about 20min to do. Although these are built well, it is yet to be seen how they will hold up It looks and feels amazing. I have a set of Drake latches but these lock. You won't find any better alternatives. Despite the price and value of the locking version offered by Drake, the locking version is not much more expensive. I was concerned about the bottom piece not being graded, but it works flawlessly and makes sense that they changed the design
Over all I am happy with this product and I will give it a 90 day review for this date 5–7-.

There may be a problem with the Using this product was fairly straightforward, so instructions were not necessary, though it would have been nice to have them, too

Also, having a way to gauge the height of each screw would have been nice, such as a hex shaft with engraved marks would have been nice. My initial experience is that the lower horizontal screws come loose and the bottom end of the shaft falls off while driving. This seems to be the same as in the prior version. They may send me replacement hardware, in which case I will use red loctite on all The only downside is that I will have to reinstall the stock locks in the interim.

It only takes a screw to turn the Allen screws and your hood will open, or you can do it by undoing I like how they keep the hood down better than stock and look good either way. Over the lock it would be nice to have dust caps.

It is totally adjustable so the hood will be aligned perfectly. The hood will not move up and down with these, so hood bounce will be significantly reduced. The locks will mount in existing holes on the jk Wrangler. They are lockable and should not rust.

Locking up your Jeep with this set of hood locks is a much better and more reliable option than using a standard key A solid kit that, with a few small adjustments, will hold the hood 500 times more securely than a standard rubber latch. Despite installing them, I've not seen the hood up and down even a little. This is a great product I would recommend.
