This product or the BOLT lock was in the running for my business. Because the Bolt lock is easily bypassable with this product, I was compelled to pick it.
It was really easy to install all you need is a 10mm socket and wrench, a 13mm wrench, and an Allen key (I forget It's tough to get the bolts tight enough with a 1/2 inch wrench, but it will work if you don't have a 13mm wrench. It is a good idea to keep some cleaning supplies on hand as well. You might want to clean the surface after removing the stock latches because they are a little wider than these are, which means some old dirt will be visible under them. My engine compartment is at least mostly protected once they're installed, so I feel confident at least a majority of would-be thieves won't be able to make off with it It is a crime to steal.

The hinge / locking lever works well, although I did have to install a small washer behind the pivot / locking lever. It is made of a sturdy material that feels strong and looks great.
