As a veteran with only one arm, I'm in a unique position. Installation of these latches is simple and straightforward. While the material and hardware are great, I found the stock Jeep backing nut to be far more effective than the jam nut provided. Recommend these latches and have done so in the past. I got what I paid for

This is an easy to install program for the 2007 Jeep I found removing the OEM lower bracket to be the most challenging part. Because it's a little difficult to access, I had to fit my smallest 1/4" drive ratchet combined with a 13mm socket in there. I liked the latch, but it wasn't the perfect fit for me - it was solid and worked well, but not the The problem might be caused by an aftermarket The hood still works well and looks nice. They were great to include Allen keys with it. My only complaint, and a very small one, is they didn't provide washers to back up the small nuts. Make sure you keep your OEM nuts as they have washers attached. This is at least the case for JK models.

I was disappointed with the instructions, but the product is good

It's solid and of good quality. You Tube is a good place to start. You will be able to figure out the tight spots with it. It looks good, but I'm not sure about the finish. As soon as it's over, I'll let you know. Take your time watching the video and allowing 45 minutes for the installation to complete.

They latch together and force the hood to contact the fender, thereby producing an inconsistency in gap size between the hood and the The rubber piece that eliminates the gap and keeps the hood from contacting the fender is also missing from them. I had no problems installing the bottom bracket. You just have to remove the grill and then use the 3/8 ratchet and 13mm socket to get to the hidden nut.
