The metal tiedowns I used on my Jeep were to replace rubber ones. Given that they are metal and have an internal spring, they will last longer.

This is not the one to buy. Despite the fact that items were delivered in boxes, they were not packaged. As far as the packaging itself is concerned, it looks like somebody put it together with glue. Rather than from the seller, this is the BestTop packaging. There is an extremely cheap look to the latches. All screws and other hardware that came with the BLACK latch kit are steel, which means in a couple months they'll be rusty. The bolts on a black latch kit would look better if they were shiny than black. It's possible that I can paint the bolts, but I'll probably invest in a higher quality.
