Because it's designed to fit all standard roof vent openings, you can use it if you have that type of opening.
purchased a smoke vent cover and a smoke maxxair 2, but it does not let much light through. To sum up, the Maxxair is much more light-blocking than the smoke vent cover. My opinion is that if I were to do it all over again, I would opt for smoke Maxxair 2 and clear vent covers. The 110s I had wired in were also wired so I wasn't overly concerned about light output.
The kit comes with all the hardware you need, along with instructions on how to install it. Despite the fact that my camper (Casita) has a roof vent that sticks up about two inches above the roofline, folks on our forum recommend not sealing the vent cover to the roof on my camper. Even with a cover like this, we have survived some pretty serious Florida storms without water entering the camper. I did not seal the open vent to the roof and it did not leak where this cover is installed. You're on your way to a successful

I have a super fan in my Surveyor and it works like a charm.
I had no problems installing the trailer, but the vent that came with it wasn't quite as easy as advertised due to its design. I'm pretty handy and I have a lot of tools, so that's fine with me. I spent about 30 minutes on it. Since I installed it, it has rained here numerous times and not a single drop of water has entered the trailer. The main benefit is I can now open the vent almost all the way, and leave it that way all the time. The following feature is a bonus The design is pretty slick.
For the first year or so, these seem to be great. A 1" hailstone fell through a five-year-old camper after it was exposed to the sun for five years. They then became brittle, lost their shine, etc. By the end of the hailstorm, two of the three vents had been broken. I kind of see the point of it. Vent covers are usually priced at approximately twice as much as the cover for this vent. Those in the colour "Smoke" were bought by us. It may be necessary to purchase a cover for the cover, since I am not sure what the warranty is. Despite the fact that I don't expect it to last forever, 5 years seems like an absurd amount of time for the price.
There is no doubt that these With our vents open, we have been experiencing some very heavy downpours, but haven't had any issues with Our trailer is set permanently in a north south direction, and in our area, rain comes from the west to the east 99% of the time. If you're opening is facing a storm, then I am not sure whether these will work, or if anything else will. There is quite a bit of difficulty in installing the mounting hardware. I used an adhesive and caulk to install the vent screens in my new trailer since the vent screens are already removable from inside the trailer. Because the hinged hardware was not needed, I found it unnecessary.
The Max Air vent turned out to be the right match for the one I ordered. Originally I was concerned I ordered the wrong one. There was already a pre-existing coating on the vent's outside The MaxxAir is plugged into the holes drilled for it. There is no way for me to fully open the MaxxAir Vent, so I have to open it by hand.
Keeping your vent open in the rain is important! This would be a good match to our Forest River R- 2020 It's always on. Provides a matching look and let's in light on black rooftop devices. Color is smoke (ordered). We can now leave the fan running in the rain whilst driving and open the vent hatch when we stop to keep the trailer at a reasonable temperature. This is an easy to install program. The task can be completed in under 20 minutes with a hand screwdriver. I plan to purchase another trailer so this will be my next purchase.
About $75 was paid. Many years ago, I paid over a thousand dollars for it. During the windy winter this past winter, the vent cover was caught and blew A part of the frame was still attached to the rev, but the outer cover came off and was smashed and smashed My letter to Amazon regarding the six year warranty just arrived. I have yet to hear back from them. Does anyone else have their vent cover blown off by the wind?.
They are perfect for the travel trailer I purchased two of them for. There are two sets of towels in the bathroom and one in I had to spend 40 minutes installing both programs. For this task all you need is a drill bit with a 3/16" diameter, a Phillips screwdriver, and a ratchet. In my opinion, the smoke color vents "look" like a higher quality product than the white covers, but the quality is identical. I have a black air conditioning cover on my trailer, so these smoke vents look great. The vents fit well and look nice with the black cover. The smoke vents let in a good amount of light, and that was what I was going for. There would have been no light at all coming through the Maxxair II. One note they do prevent the vent covers from fully opening, but they do provide enough room for good ventilation while blocking them from opening all the way.
