JeCar Hood Vent Hood Scoop Vent Cover for 1997-2017 Jeep Wrangler TJ JK Unlimited (Black)

The look of the hood cowl was never something I was particularly concerned with. My Jeep JK, on the other hand, gets extremely hot in the engine compartment and main cabin. The heat can feel like sunburn on long journeys. By forcing air into the hood vent, I'm hoping that this product will assist in keeping the engine compartment cooler. The 3M tape was already on the bottom of the cowl, so it was easy to apply. I was able to get it exactly where I wanted it to be. I don't expect this to solve the problem, but I'm hoping it will assist in some way.

I've had it on all summer, and when the fan is set to low to medium speed, it seems to "push" more air through. I know it's not supposed to help push in air, but I used to be able to feel more air when the fan was turned down to about the middle position. While moving, I now have at least the same amount of airflow on low as I do in medium. The low fan position is significantly lower when the machine is stopped than when it is moving. But, of course, I bought it for the sake of appearances, and it does so well. br>br>I'm interested to see how it performs during the snowy winter, and I'll keep you updated if anything goes wrong.

" Using a window air conditioner. If you like the Pep Boys, keep doing what you're doing. You'll probably enjoy this if you're a father. Take a pass if you're looking for a good vent or hood scoop. br>br>I use mine on top of a window air conditioner to keep rain from bogging down the motor when it rains heavily, and it works fine for that purpose. It only receives three stars because it is inexpensive and meets my needs. If you're going to put it on a Jeep, make sure it's the right size. Don't hold your breath for anything spectacular. Advantages: br>br> br>br>Cons: br>br>Cheap (if that's what you're looking for)br>br> Plastic with a slight warp and is a little bendy. The included foam tape isn't thick enough to extend beyond the small lip molded into the bottom of the scoop, so you'll need to buy some more.

It was simple to put together and fit perfectly on my JKU, as shown in the photos. Simply peel the double-sided tape from the back, which is highly recommended.

But no, you'd think that if the majority of people are complaining about the tape not sticking or being too thin, the company would fix it. But No. I was willing to give it a chance, but they were correct. It is possible to see daylight from all sides. There should be no light, and it should stay in place without the need for additional tape. I'll tell you one thing about this product: if it only stuck, it would look fantastic. Please look into this.

It's complete nonsense. Make sure you don't throw your money away. The lip on the plastic edge is thicker than the sticky tape that is attached to it. The tape cannot even touch the surface to adhere because of the lip. I even tried to stick to cardboard for a laugh, but it was impossible. The design is abominable. Either the lip on the edge must be removed or thicker mounting tape must be used.

I like the scoop, but it fell off as soon as it got cold. Now I'm going to use E6000 glue to fix it. I drank a lot of alcohol before applying the scoop, but it didn't seem to help in the long run (3 weeks).
