Due to the Chinese factory workers' inability to read simple machine schematics, holes had to be drilled in retainers to allow Allen head bolts to pass through. The hood still doesn't close all the way down even when you go all the way down. I wheel my Jeep hard and have gone through these hood ties three times. It is constructed as well as the Drake Brand. I have purchased it twice for over $100 each and the last time I purchased it from Amazon for less than half the price. There's no fault on the manufacturer's part for the need for replacement here. My Jeep almost needs to be rebuilt and the dashboard has cracks going through both of the mirrors and through the middle I've had to replace pretty much everything on it.

Great product, looks great and works well. Only 3 stars because the cable fell out of both corners of the crimp when I installed it. It is great to use them but you have to stake them before you attempt to install them.

The knockoff works as advertised and is an exact replica of the name brand. Instructions are clear and the installation is easy if you are a small person. If you have large hands, it is not easy to reach the nuts on the fender. I would definitely recommend this item.

It took me about 20 minutes to replace these Latches on my Gladiator 2021, with very little effort. These latches lock but do not expect to keep thieves out, there is no key, basically the plunger simply pushes and locks in place.

The product itself was excellent, but the coupling nuts on both sides were defective. I replaced two parts in the oem and there isn't just a replacement part and the bottom screw is a different thread from the top so I put them back in the box and in my garage now.
