Not a single thing. The insert does not prevent enough air from entering the system to make a difference. In comparison to other products I looked at, this one was extremely simple to set up. It looks good and fills the gap left by GM. The fact that it also protects the intercooler radiator is a huge plus!

This is only for the 2015-2016 school year. Chevy 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks are available for the 2019 model year.
It will, indeed, fit!

It took about 15 minutes to complete the installation. Quality parts, and it looks a lot better. I'm thinking about getting an LED strip to put in there so it can light up at night. Although it could just be me, it appears that my tranny temperatures are a little higher because the transmission cooler receives less airflow, which is why GM (and I believe some Fords) leave them open. There haven't been any issues with overheating yet, but it's only 20° F where I am. We'll see how it performs in the summer, when temperatures are expected to be in the 80s and 90s. But, as I previously stated, it could just be me because I'm used to glancing at it now and then, but I've kept a close eye on it since installation. I started it this morning and the tranny temperature was at 160° F by the time high idle was turned off. Perhaps others who have this can comment.
This is exactly what I needed to cover up the unsightly oil cooler radiator in the front of my 2017 Chevy 2500HD Duramax. I'm baffled as to why Chevy would leave such an unsightly radiator exposed to rocks, insects, and birds. I'm glad someone designed a nice-looking cover for this area on these trucks while still allowing for adequate cooling airflow. It was a perfect fit, came with clear instructions, and was simple to put together.
Great product; it looks great and is simple to install; however, my issue is with Amazon. My order arrived damaged, so I contacted Mountains to Metal, who informed me that it was due to an Amazon shipping issue. No problem, I returned and placed a new order. The new one arrived fully assembled and was installed in a matter of minutes, and it looks fantastic. After a few weeks, I receive my refund for the first one. $15! On a $99 part, it cost me $15 to ship it to me, $26 to return it, and $15 to replace it. So, for $241, I got a $99. 00 part. I should have saved the first one and hung it in my shop.
It's also very simple to put together. For the 2018 Duramax, this is a must-have. I noticed a hole in the front of the truck, just above the license plate, where the factory had left an opening under the grill to expose the transmission radiator. I noticed the radiator fins had been crushed or dented after only 8k miles on my new truck due to rocks getting into it at highway speeds. I figured that at the rate the radiator was being dented, I'd have to replace it after 100k miles. This was a Christmas gift from my wife. It isn't 100% protection against rocks but I am sure it will block 50% - 60% while allowing air to flow at the same time as well. It took about 20 minutes to set up. It's incredibly simple, and there's no need to drill anything. An allen wrench and a small wrench are all that's required. I like the look as well as the fact that it is well-made and durable. The wife has given you a wonderful present.
Protect your valuable radiator by covering your "rock catcher. " The added benefit is that it completes the look of your front end. Put it out of your mind. Simply purchase!.
I was pleased to receive the item earlier than expected. On a 2015 Chevrolet Siverado 2500 HD High Country Duramax diesel, it was installed. It was extremely simple to set up. It took me about 10 minutes, and I was taking my time, but the insert fit perfectly in the opening. br>The only issue I had was that the right side of the door sits about an eighth deeper in the opening than the left. I shifted it behind the right side of the insert with a few washers between the bracket and the insert so it lines up identically to the left side, and I am very pleased with this product.
Simple to set up. The product looks great on the truck and was a breeze to put together. Although it does not appear to obstruct airflow, it will certainly keep large debris out of the cooler, which could cause damage. I would have given it five stars if the packaging had been better. It's entirely made of metal, and only a piece of wax paper is included to keep the parts from rubbing together. Mine had a scatch and a rub on the finish when I got it. I decided not to return it because the damage was minor and it is a rock guard (after all, it will be snatched).
With a factory bolt hole, the installation takes 15 minutes. Everything you'll need is included! It looks fantastic and is built to last. With brackets, this is a complete bolt-on installation. Don't squander your money on the low-cost imitations.
