The instructions are nice, and the tools needed are minimal. To assemble and install, the process took a little more than two hours Then install it. My favourite thing about this is its sleek looks. This is perfect for light duty or city driving. The product was shipped really well, and the quality is really good for such a cheap price. Make sure you use six point hex sockets. Use only 10 points because 12 points will go horribly wrong.
The package is very well done. Quite good actually. As part of my inquiry, I wanted to know how the light bar mounted. That's good, I waited for you. The mounting screw is on the side of the light bar. If you order a light, ask for one where the mounting screw is on the side. I'll add an update after I'll make sure some pics are I'm going on an off-road trip in a 19 4Runner TRD. THE UPDATE IS The installation is about 2 hours total if you do it It was mentioned in another review that 6 point sockets are crucial. you're ordering an LED light like I did, it needs to be mounted on a side post, not the bottom post. It is a decent set of instructions. You will be able to understand it if you possess minimum mechanical ability. It's a necessity to measure the bolts and nuts with a ruler that has a MM marked on it. Installer on a 2019 4Runner Trd Off-Road. Taking the road.
On my wife's 2019 4Runner TRD off road premium, she asked for a bull bar. In addition to red, she wanted a pair of glasses They looked good on her and she picked up a few rings. The bull bar isn't heavy duty, but it is well made, so it should hold up just fine for visual applications. This bull bar does not come with a D-ring My next step was to weld on D-ring mounts after sanding off the paint There is a ring that Using Rustoleum spray-on bedliner, I repainted the bars where I sanded them off for welding. The Rodeo paint is an exact match to the factory finish, so I used it there. The wife had to be informed that the bar and the D in the picture had to do with the same picture In general, the rings are not heavy-duty enough for use as recovery points, but the baby will never be taken off road anyway, so it will work just fine. The cost of the rings is reasonable. It's not difficult to install. You'll definitely need a long handle flex head ratchet to get to those 3 bumper bolts. They're in a strange position for anything else to reach.
Despite some research I did, I could not find a bullbar that would fit a limited 4runner without cutting it.
The 2010 version of this will work Check out these photos of the 2012 Toyota 4Runner Limited with some damage to the lower bumper. There were also brackets that had to be installed on the inside of the door instead of the outside. I was able to follow the instructions fairly easily, but the instructions needed to be put on the inside first. Great job, it was a little tricky to get to the bumper bolts, but otherwise it is a great looking car! A light bar will be installed and I will update the review when It's a strong bull bar, and overall I'm quite satisfied.
My bolts were left over and the directions were a bit confusing. As a builder, I probably did it better than the designer. That was lame. In spite of the directions, it was actually a really easy bumper to install as long as you take your time with the cuts on the 4 Runner Limited. I took my chances even though Amazon said it didn't fit, however, a 4Runner in town had the same bumper installed. He had done a great job and I wanted to follow in his footsteps. A small modification was made to the lower part of the bumper in an upside down L shape. With a drimmel I was able to make this cut and it worked out perfectly. I used trim to hide the cut, but I also want to fix the cut and make it one whole piece since the way I originally did it looked crappy. My experience has been really positive so far, and I will make sure to update my review if anything changes.
According to my research, the product lines up with my 2015 4R and is a contemporary design. There is no other way to reach the crash bar than with 6 sided sockets and a ratchet head, and using those devices is an absolute MUST, as the space to reach the bolts leaves little room for wiggle. There are two parts to this You should be able to finish this project in 4 hours or less depending on your mechanical aptitude. me, one of the bolts refused to come off, and I had to take it to the shop to have it removed. If you decide to complete the installation though, do not let anything stop you. I love how the product looks after installation! There are 50 pounds of steel in the tank, which is very solid and aggressive. One thing I can recommend before installing the bull bar is that you have to leave the arms of the supporting brackets loose otherwise the installation will be tough. You will do well!.
A perfect fit for my 2018 4Runner with this bull bar! Taking about two hours in total, it was easy to build and install. used the 6 point socket that others advised me to use and bought a long handle ratchet with a flex head. You must remove both the factory bolts and the bolts from the bumper. Thanks for allowing me to enjoy it. I hope to enjoy it for years to come. The update is Two months ago, this thing was struck by a deer. A must have for those looking to protect their 4Runner's plastic front. I was surprised to find that all I had to do was loosen the mounting bolts and realign! It looks great even after all that time!.
