I didn't put them in because they weren't what I was looking for right out of the box. Internet shopping has a disadvantage. The visors on these vents are quite large. They are affixed to the vehicle's outside. As an installer, I understand how many are installed, so I can get past that. I wasn't expecting them to be as large as they were. I decided not to install these and instead went with "in channel" vent visors. They're on their way and should arrive shortly. I'm working on two Jeep Cherokee XJs. I'm thinking about putting these on my green trail rig. My white one, on the other hand, is a bit of a mystery. For me, the ergonomics aren't quite right. I'm a snob when it comes to clothing. I'll hold off until I receive the rest of my packages.
I would not hesitate to purchase their goods in the least. These guys are professionals who stand behind their work. Because of the durability and lack of customer service from the Amazon seller, I changed my rating to three stars after my vents broke. After speaking with them directly, the service was beyond my expectations, and they stood by their product without reservation. 5 stars! br>br>Recent changes: br>br> One of the vents in the back of my car had broken. It appeared to be fairly easy to crack. Sharp corners caused it to break; it appears that they could add some flex to make it last longer. These are fantastic! br>br> When I swapped engines in my XJ, I forgot to turn off the air conditioning. It's not a big deal, but it's a pain. These make it a lot easier to bear, especially when it's raining.
This has turned out to be an unanticipated favorite! It was simple to set up - I finished in 15 minutes and didn't need any tools. Using rubbing alcohol as a surface cleaner is also a good idea. They're stylish, and they make my Jeep Cherokee (XJ) a lot more comfortable to drive. I can now leave my windows open whenever I want, which is often in the Texas sun, and I won't have to suffer through the oven-like heat. I no longer worry about leaving a window open if it starts to rain when I get in my car after work because I have a roasted feeling. During a recent heavy thunderstorm, I left the windows cracked open and the inside remained completely dry. Even after taking the car to an automatic car wash, these stayed firmly in place. Great product that performs well at a reasonable price. For maximum cooling, pair with a windshield reflector and window tint. You are going to be blown away.
After cleaning the mounting location with clay bar and isopropyl alcohol, we installed it. These things have a crazy amount of adhesion. incredibly powerful! However, the visors are unusually large. Make no attempt to appear strange or out of place. They have a great contour that fits the Jeep perfectly, and there's even a small "divot" next to the mirrors to give you an unobstructed view. Your mirrors have been obstructed! If something goes wrong, I'll keep you updated. So far, however, I adore them!.
These are fantastic, and they're incredibly simple to put together. The most difficult part is removing the 3m adhesive cover strip. That isn't even a legitimate gripe. Shade coverage is excellent, and it also gives the impression that the windows are tinted. (While my front driver and passenger windows are not tinted, the rear windows are) I managed to fool a few people at this point. Adhesive has a great deal of tenacity. Make sure you get them on correctly the first time because you won't be able to take them off if you make a mistake. For best results, make sure your Jeep's surface temperature is at least 65 degrees Fahrenheit. The painted surface of your doors, not the window molding, is where these are mounted. Molding style shades provide significantly less shade and rain protection. It appears to be a lot better to me. It gives my Jeep a more muscular appearance. On a 1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ Classic, this was installed.
Definitely effective! When driving with the window down, they reduce wind noise and keep the rain out. I don't have to worry about break-ins or hands reaching in if I leave the windows cracked at night to keep the inside from fogging up. It's a great product that's also very simple to put together. Thanks!.
They're fantastic! They've been on for about two months and are still in good condition. I anticipate that they will last until I no longer require them. br>br>The adhesive is extremely strong, so make sure you're lined up before applying it. br>br>Really helps when you want to leave the windows cracked a little on hot or rainy days.
Great quality and one of the most cost-effective upgrades I've ever made to my Jeep. Because I don't have air conditioning, rainy days are much more bearable, and I can leave the windows slightly open on a hot sunny day so that my car isn't too hot when I get back in it.
