This isn't a universal fit for all automobiles. This was installed on a Nissan Maxima, but it did not fit properly. The width is correct, but the length is not. It aligns with the front of the sunroof when I place it just in front of the gasket. It should overlap enough to allow you to open it a couple of inches and still be covered. The air is not deflected up and over the roof by the visor. It's as if the visor has vanished. It has no effect whatsoever. MORONS to those who believe the adhesive strip is of high quality. This stuff comes off the visor and the car with relative ease. It adheres to the surface reasonably well, but not as well as 3M adhesive. Not by a long shot! It was about 90 degrees outside and I was working in the shade when I installed this. For about 15 minutes, I had to repeatedly press down on the visor, and it was still lifting in places. It was shocking to see that it was still on the vehicle after driving down the freeway. I believe it has a relatively low profile. Overall, it's merely adequate. The rain in Oregon will determine how long it lasts. Unfortunately, I won't be able to open the sunroof a crack because the rain will pour in. I'll look for another somewhere else. I'll most likely return it before the 30-day period expires.
The rain guard is similar to others I've purchased from other companies - It makes use of 3M tape to line the product's edge so that it can be installed on your vehicle. So, like the other products I've tried in the past, I expected this to last a long time. I installed this rain guard a few weeks ago, and today as I was driving down the highway, I heard a crack, and the rain guard had vanished. A photo of what was left on my car is attached. This piece's tape was easily removed from my car. I'm not sure if it was because the tape was old or because the product was defective, but I would not recommend purchasing this item.
Adhesive is weak and of poor quality. The sticker didn't even last a month on my car. Before adhering the mating surface, I made sure it was clean. I was driving late one night when I heard a light tapping noise, then it flies off, smacking into a state trooper's car, resulting in a ticket. The weak WA state sun caused the visor's edge to curl immediately, making it impossible to clean the underside unless you open the sunroof and clean from the inside. br>br>Basically, it's all around cheap garbage. PASS.
This wind deflector has been in my possession for about a year. It reduced wind noise, but it was lost in a car wash. The adhesive was stuck to the car roof, but it weakened on the reflector side, and because it's not a very rigid plastic, it makes a fluttering/rippling sound when the sun roof is closed. The fluttering was annoying because I have a high-end stereo system. To keep it out, I had to close the interior roof shield.
I didn't care for the product and had to remove it from my car. It no longer holds in the heat and now sags in the middle, scratching my sunroof window. In some areas, the adhesive has also begun to pull away.
It appears to be of good quality, but I should have measured it first. It's just a tad too brief.
I'd buy it again if I didn't already have one.
