I am very pleased with the product. I've only used it one time. It was for a 6-foot tall king size bed. We had a 4-hour drive during which it rained and the wind was very gusty. During the trip, our straps were checked about every two There was little movement and only a very minor amount of tightening needed. I haven't seen any signs of water leaking inside. Your gas mileage is slightly affected, but nothing too drastic. As a whole I would recommend this bag to anyone searching for a great deal! We definitely use it again when we go on our next road trip and camping
Make sure to connect the straps higher up along the side of the bag or towards the top. It took me a while to figure out the very best place to connect them. At first, I had them attached right beside the roof rails, but they were so loose that they slipped until I repositioned them a few inches above the roof rails.
We used this bag to move more than 2k miles from Minnesota to California. During the test, we drove in low wind conditions at freeway speeds and through a few strong rainstorms (though not for a long time). When we arrived at the hotel, all of the contents of the case were dry, and we only adjusted the straps once after the first 14 hours of travel. There are instructions for different types of situations within the bag that are clearly written. Due to the absence of a rack, I had to use a method where the straps would Since I am 6'3" and the straps rarely bother me as the driver of our CRV, they don't bother me. In my experience, one of the benefits I experienced was that we were able to fill the bag quite full, making it easier to place the straps as instructed All in all, I am very satisfied with how the bag performed. Just follow the instructions and you should have no problems.
This roof bag, strapped to the top of our Prius did not leak or shift during the 6 hours of driving in winds up to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph and rain that lead to flooding in many of the cities we passed. Our team is extremely The money spent was well worth it.
You provided instructions on how to use your product. As I was driving on my first trip, a storm rolled in. I started to get water in my car by running my hand along the straps of my bag. According to the instructions, it continued to pour water into the car as I unhooked the straps. All the contents of my vehicle, including me, my dog, my occupant, my seats and the floor, were completely flooded and soaking wet. On the floor of the car, inches of water had collected.
After that, I stayed in my house with towels, vacuums, and doors open for a week. The inside of my car has now been damaged by water and has an unbearable odor it is essential that I remove all carpets and upholstery in order to clean the car -- There are other treatments as well, such as ionization and bleach bombs. I need to have my car door seals inspected and possibly replaced as a result of the damage caused by your bag straps. I suggest that you do not purchase this product.
It is the first time I have owned any kind of cargo bag. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to mount and how much it can hold. The small bag I purchased was on sale. This cover held up well in pouring rain and did not make any road noise. I traveled 1000 miles with this bag and it held up well. You will need to tie an extra strap with a zip tie or something to hold it in place. I really like it!.
The product is functional (it comes with a bag, straps, and mat)*br. - Water can drip in when reaching the top of the storm*- There was a loud buzzing noise from the strap. Great product. I was able to fit all my soft items on the roof of my Although this product allows some water to seep in when we went through rain, luckily we were only wet for about 2 hours. So instead of letting it drip onto our shoulders, we let it drip onto our towels. As well as the buzzing, it is also very bothersome. The noise sounds like you're being stung by a hornet. Even so, for the sake of saving a few hundred dollars, I think it was.
I drove with this bag in my roof rack from Texas to New York City for about 2,000 miles. This bag features very durable flaps, zippers, and retention systems. My bags inside became wet after 3 rainstorms. At first, it seemed like a good bag. Water managed to get inside, but I am not sure how. Although it didn't live up to my expectations, the bag is still not terrible.
Unlike the smaller bag for my Rav4, the small bag is too large to fit between my factory-made and house-made bags You can now set the Although the quality seems good, it is still a concern.
