According to the instructions, it continued to pour water into the car as I unhooked the straps. It is the first time I have owned any kind of cargo bag. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to mount and how much it can hold. The small bag I purchased was on sale. This cover held up well in pouring rain and did not make any road noise. I traveled 1000 miles with this bag and it held up well. I drove with this bag in my roof rack from Texas to New York City for about 2,000 miles. This bag features very durable flaps, zippers, and retention systems. My bags inside became wet after 3 rainstorms. At first, it seemed like a good bag. Water managed to get inside, but I am not sure how. Although it didn't live up to my expectations, the bag is still not terrible.
