Bungee cords have been my go-to method
As part of the package, I received one. A thin foam pad can be put under a carpet to prevent it from slipping, similar to those thin plastic pads A slip occurred. Make them non-corrosive similar to what you can put in cabinets to protect them Additionally, there is a slip. This is pretty bad that you didn't get one, but, you can just buy a sheet of it for a reasonable price.

I am very pleased with the result! In terms of value for money, it's worth every penny. This past week, during the week leading up to the 4th of July, I drove from Colorado to Florida through OK, TX, LA, MS, and AL. Multiple storms with torrential rain hit each of the states several times, plus heat and humidity, and this bag still held up well. The duffle bags and bins were packed (just as illustrated in the video), life jackets were included as well as folding chairs that squared off the room In addition to the boogie board and the beach toys, the carrying bags are also spacious enough to hold a full set of golf clubs. The bag we have is 20 cubic feet. Fortunately, we were able to arrange two further boogie boards under it, making a sort of platform on the roof (since it was packed tight). Three extra ratchet straps were used as well. Not a single wiggle from this thing! There were 5 of us on our trip, so this thing saved a lot of space in our Explorer. After arriving in Florida and returning home, none of our belongings had been soaked. It's the best product I have ever used! I highly recommend it to you!.
Any person who has ever held a large nylon/canvas duffel bag will recognize this product for what it But it is shaped to fit on top of a car, and it has some (a bit flimsy) straps to attach it to the main vehicle. While it has an interior lining to keep water out, if the top is not completely flat, water will eventually pool and seep into the bag. The rule of thumb here is that it should only be used if it's more or less completely I am happy with it, though in retrospect I probably shouldn't have spent more than $50 on it. Hardshells aren't substitutes for softshells, and this isn't a substitute for a softshell. The people posting the photos of extreme damage do not own the photos. There is no way I know how they would have accomplished that, but it was probably not good faith.
I found it to be effective. Because I did not obtain it with the intention of putting it through extreme weather, I didn't put it through extreme weather. My only requirement was to have something functional and well suited to the work at hand. The vehicle got up to 104 degrees in the summer. I drove a long distance with it without any problems. When it was running at high speeds, it had no problems. I did not have any personal items damaged and my car was not damaged either. The installation of the roof rail was an easy one for me. If you have an SUV and are short, this will be a challenge if you are taking a trip. If you have an SUV and you are shorter, it will be a challenge as well. My car is not a true SUV and it was somewhat of a challenge for me to work on it being 6'4 tall. Do not pack until you have installed the software on the vehicle.
In fact, we traveled from Dallas to Taos with it and found it to be an excellent product. Because I did not position the carrier on the roof correctly, there was some slippage at the beginning of the trip. It rained for a couple of days, and then stayed There was rain or snow for 12 of the 14 hours on our way home. The garbage bag of coats in the front of the carrier was damp but the interior of the vehicle It won't be the last time I buy from here.
Our family took a road trip across several states this summer. It was a huge advantage to have more storage space. The carry-on luggage space I had was enough for three We were able to carry one large suitcase, a cooler, backpacks, and lawn games without having to do a second layer of clothing. During the trip, we stopped for overnight lodging a few times, and it was easy to load and unload the vehicle. It's a well-made strap, we have never experienced any problem with them loosening or stretching during use. Winds do not have a chance to blow through them because they are cinched down tightly. It is true that there is minimal noise but it would be the same if you had anything else on your It rained a little bit during our trip, but everything stayed dry. We found the rubber mat to be easy to use and it also kept our car well protected. The carrier we used was a very economical one for what we required. I have seen a lot of very expensive carriers, but they can't do In theory, it might be possible to break into it and lock it, but we were never in that sort of situation.
We used the product for five days of camping because we had little space in our car. The material is top quality, the zippers are generously sized, and there are There is no need to worry about the stability and safety of the content. There are side straps that allow you to take up any extra length. Unless you are over 80 mph, there will be no noise. After 600 miles at 100 degrees Fahrenheit, there are no external signs of damage. A luggage lock can be added to zippers, so you might consider adding that as well. Happy with the outcome.
An exceptionally high level of There are many different straps for different situations in the car. This kit was used without a roof rack on a Honda Odyssey. It didn't seem like there was much of an impact on air drag and It's only complaint is that the opening zipper can be difficult to close if you don't pack it properly. The bag's profile is pulling on the upper part of the zipper therefore if not packed perfectly, it pulls on the upper part of the zipper. In order to keep out water, the zipper is rubberized. You should make sure the metal clasps of the straps don't touch the paint of the car, so I made sure to tie a knot in my straps where necessary to shorten them. As a driver in a van I could have used even larger bags than 20 cubic feet, but on a car, I would probably max out at 18 cubic feet. My overall opinion of the bag is that I like it, and I would recommend it highly. Due to my location in the desert, I cannot speak about the water proofing.
I was able to mount the carrier on the roof top rack fairly easily and it looks good. Guess I just thought I would get more than I did. Does the purpose of a roof top carrier that is not waterproof make a lot of sense? (Even though all our camping gear was first in black garbage bags) Everything in the bag became soaked. The only problem is that our family is hard on zippers or they just don't make good zippers anymore. However, I wouldn't say this bag is a waste of money, it's been pretty good for a cross-country trip, just be careful about getting.
