In all wet weather conditions so far, the product seems to hold up well! It has been raining and snowing for several days.
The frame didn't get made. Putting it in the truck's bed was the most convenient method.
Our team has made heavy use of it. No matter if it's partial full or fully full, the seal is perfect. I've used it in many light rain situations without a drop dripping. Tie-downs are easy at an amount of your choice since there is an endless number of ways to do it. Being able to use and own this is a blessing.
As you pointed out, the photos show it with square corners, but it doesn't really have them. It resembles the shape of what is inside if you have a box that size. It is a soft container, so it will confirm to the shape of what is inside. My expectations are the same as yours, to have it in a more rectangular found that it worked well when packed and tied down during my trip. I used it for one trip only, but it was around 2000 kilometers each way.

I have not yet used this product. I have a very positive first impression of the program. To give the carrier some rigidity, I build a PVC frame (materials $30 at Lowe's) The dimensions of the item are 53" x 16 " x 20". Using the 53" of paper at the base, cut it in half, add a T connection on each side, and add another 20" in the center to prove support for the carrier. You can see the picture here. The cargo carrier fits perfectly in the 60" compartment.
Over the course of the day, it rained a lot and snowed a lot. Besides the large suitcase, there were several large plastic totes inside of the bag, as well as some other small items tucked away in the cracks and crevices. After two days of driving, nothing but a few drops of water remained in the bottom of the bag when we finally unloaded it. Halfway along our drive we stopped for a night, and we weren't sure if it would be safe to leave it on the carrier. Our hotel room was just a few minutes away, so we opened up the bag and carried the loaded down bag in. There is no weak spot in the exterior handles! My trip to Niagara Falls began in Arizona and ended in AZ. We had a great experience using the Marksign cargo bag! As long as we protected it against our metal rack (put a blanket on the bottom and taped some door weather proof strips to the bars with electric tape) there was no wear that penetrated the bag's waterproof coating (in contrast to the carrier we bought of another brand). All the inside items stayed dry even after driving through rain! Purchasing this item was an excellent decision for us!.
There was something about this thing I loved. The first thing I did was make a PVC frame for it because let's face it, this thing would be useless without something to keep it upright. For months during the winter, I drove the vehicle across several states, and it was able to handle every type of weather nature could throw. My next step was to create a custom camp kitchen to fit inside the bag so I could have a weather-protected kitchen on my cargo carrier for camping (I live in my van, so this was a necessity). It is made out of plywood and fits perfectly inside the bag with a little wiggle room. I used this thing throughout the Arizona desert and through several states, and again it was able to take all the rain, heat, and dust I threw at it. There was never an easy way to fix the zipper pulls, though. The mere fact that I had to open this product made me already consider it a failure. Whenever I had to open it, I felt dread because the zipper was hard to open. There was a thin layer of vinyl covering part of the zipper that would catch them. However, they don't look secure to me so I can't trust them, even though they've never come undone. I think it's useless if I dread opening it because the zipper makes it difficult to open and close. The bag still protects from the elements and it's thick and robust, but I don't think it's worth using if I dread opening it.
